I'm still stuck on specific designs, though, so I've yet to go ahead. So, my original reason for asking the Lokean Welcoming blog with my question is that I’ve been searching for a single artist or craftsperson to make me statues for my various deities, Loki being just one of them, though an important deity. Like I said in my ask on over there, I’ve been having nothing but trouble in finding someone who can make tactile enough statues or even will do custom work in the first place. Yeah, I did find a person who makes smaller custom statues and I did commissioned a number of them from him already, but they are fairly small (between one and three inches tall), and I’d like to find someone to make slightly larger ones as well, at least four inches or so.
Yeah, I know a couple of woodworkers who are willing to give it a try as well but honestly I’m very discouraged with wooden statues, though I do love them, due to a comission I paid for a few months ago regarding a statue for Loki that turned out to be epic failure, both in it’s level of tactileness and the quality of the design. Also, I later found out by a commenter on the video I showed it off and reviewed it that the person who made that statue stole the design from someone else.
Anyway, as to your offer, I’d love to talk about a possible Loki statue in greater detail. While I’m grateful for the offer of a free one as it seems like an experiment for you at this point, I’d like to pay you for your work anyway. Call it a part of my ethics as a practicing Bard but I believe very strongly in supporting artisans and crafters of any kind.
