Laluan Lojing-Gua Musang dibuka semula hari ini
KOTA BHARU, 16 Februari:
Laluan Lojing-Gua Musang yang ditutup sejak 24 Disember tahun lalu akibat runtuhan tanah serius di empat lokasi, dibuka semula kepada orang ramai mulai tengah hari tadi.
Menteri Kerja Raya, Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof berkata empat lokasi itu ialah di Seksyen 110, Seksyen 116 dan Seksyen 119, manakala runtuhan di Seksyen 110.2 pula adalah runtuhan batu.
āLaluan dibuka semula selepas kerja pembaikan dilaksanakan jurutera Daerah Gua Musang bersama syarikat konsesi menggunakan kaedah cerucuk keping,ā katanya dalam satu kenyataan di sini hari ini.
Beliau berkata semakan terakhir pada Sabtu lepas oleh JKR Kelantan mendapati segala peraturan telah dilaksanakan dan mencapai tahap keselamatan untuk membolehkan laluan digunakan semula.
Laluan itu ditutup kepada orang awam ekoran hujan luar biasa pada Disember tahun lepas yang menyebabkan kejadian banjir dan mendapan jalan di negeri ini.

Shahidan: Firm action against those destroying Lojing Highlands
GUA MUSANG, Dec 11, 2014:
Minister in the Prime Ministerās DepartmentĀ Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim has warned of firm government action against theĀ allegedly uncontrolled opening of land for agriculture in the Lojing Highlands that he said could trigger landslides like in Cameron Highlands.
The vegetable farming entrepreneurs in the area were boldly defying regulations imposed by the authorities because they could be under theĀ protection of gangsters, he told reporters after a visit to the Lojing Highlands yesterday.
Shahidan said the Department of Environment, Department of Agriculture, LandĀ and District Office and other enforcement agencies would have to act more firmly despite the threats from gangsters.
āIt is more important for us to discharge our responsibilities and tackleĀ the problem or Lojing will cease to be a tourist destination,ā he said.
Shahidan said entrepreneurs only focused on lucrative revenue in carrying out farming in the area without considering whether their action was destroying the environment.
He said the once-clear rivers of Lojing had turned murky and muddy due toĀ the uncontrolled opening of land.
Shahidan said he would discuss with the Kelantan government on the need toĀ take firm action against those destroying the environment in Lojing.
