hi! just wondering how to use notion for studying? it looks interesting but like, i don't really understand it and i don't know how to start?
hey sweets! you totally came to the right person for this bcs i was exactly like this like two weeks ago when i randomly watched this one guy’s channel and he was talking abt how he used notion for learning languages!! i’ve seen it being talked abt a lot in this community, but i never really invested anytime on it bcs it looked so overwhelming and i didn’t think i had the time and the patience for it. anyways, fast forward to that, i’m in love with notion now and it’s keeping me self-disciplined and it’s just nice to have all my ideas, goals, and resources in the same place.
in the beginning stages, i was still so overwhelmed and confused, but what really helped me was watching videos about it on youtube!! i definitely suggest watching this video bcs this is the video that inspired me to start using notion and, to ensure i didn’t forget stuff, i wrote them down especially the shortcuts that he said!! i also watched other general videos of how to use it and some tips like this and this and this and i also looked through the #notion tag here on tumblr!! i did prefer the vids though bcs i find that they’re easier to follow for me. robin’s video (the first link) is definitely the one that really helped me the most though so i suggest that as the priority!! there’s also a lot of other vids on youtube of how people use notion (and some even let you use their templates) so i suggest checking those out too if you want more help!!
that being said, i’m mostly just using it rn to keep track of my gap year goals and also for italian and i still don’t know every little thing about it, but i’m very satisfied with what i’ve created and i just love how everything is organized!! you can do so many things with it and it makes accessing everything easier since they’re all kept in one place. it certainly takes a lot of trials and errors and you might even get annoyed at times, but just try to play around with it for a few days and get some inspiration from others!! i hope this was quite helpful, sweets! and i do hope that you end up using it!! it can be overwhelming and tbh i was so nervous to start creating bcs i had doubts abt my abilities and knowledge, but i just went for it and somehow it all worked out. it will be the same for you too!! 🤍✨
