#logic rambles

It was set in the 80's, the set was an abandoned junkyard with graffiti, barbed wire, beat up chairs, crates, wire fences, etc., awesome set. The graffiti had references to a lot of biblical things, like water turning into wine, crowns, crosses, neat little references.

Jesus and his followers were all dressed in 80's alt fashion with leather jackets, torn jeans, spiky, dyed hair, etc., while the Romans and Caiaphus and the priests were dressed in traditional suits/business formal clothes. The guards wore actual military uniforms.

(Side note Caiaphus was played by a woman with an absolutely LETHAL face card, loved her.)

Judas, Simon, and Mary all had leather jackets with something painted on the back. Judas' had bloodied hand prints and the words DAMNED FOR ALL TIME, Simon's was a sunset behind a series of crucifixes and the word ZEALOT on the front but the T was a cross, and I couldn't quite see Mary's but it was blue and red and had some words.

Pilate was CHILLING. I could feel his anguish over the decisions he was making.

During Hosanna the chorus was doing a sort of a sidestep clap move but everyone hit a T-pose (to look like the cross) on "JC, JC won't you die for me?" and I fucking GASPED.

As the crowd is shouting to crucify Jesus this one guy in the chorus was on his knees weeping. He still shouted to crucify him but it was between racking sons and he covered his face in between shouting and holy hell that was a shock compared to the others who were angry/excited at the prospect.

Stanuary 2026 Week One- Age and Youth

Decided to do a little fanart this time around! This is a combination of pencil, colored pencil, pen, and brush markers on paper. We've got Stan throughout the ages, from childhood to Sea Grunks era.

I'm decently pleased with how this turned out! This was a bit of a challenge for me with trying to keep their faces consistent as Stan ages, but I think I did ok with that. This was also my first time drawing a Sea Grunks!Stan, which is fun.

Like with Stan and Ford, they look like Filbrick. They have his chin and they have his nose and they have his ears and they have his build and maybe Stan doesn't like to wear sunglasses and maybe Ford doesn't like to wear loud patterned suits. "You look like Dad." They're identical- they both look like him. They both see themselves in him. They see their tempers, they see the choices they've made. Even all these years later, both are hungry for a way to prove themselves. Stan hates himself for still wanting to. Ford hates himself for not succeeding. They're reminded of that (and of a brother they've hurt and miss and can't talk about) every time they look in the mirror. And I don't think either of them like that.

And then there's Shermie, who managed to get out of Jersey well-adjusted enough to raise a family and have what appears to be an average, quiet life. Shermie, who doesn't look in the mirror and see their father, and all his disappointments and anger and expectations. Shermie, with their mother's chin and skin and height and hair. Does he see Caryn in himself? Does he see the lies, the schemes, the way she stood aside and didn't say anything as her husband kicked out one son and placed all his expectations on the other? Does he think about that? Because what Filbrick did was wrong, of course it was, everyone knows that, and Ford wasn't at fault, he was a kid too, everyone knows that, but Caryn? She was an adult. She knew it was wrong. And she didn't say anything. Realistically, she was holding a baby and who knew if Filbrick would grow violent, but was there really nothing she could have done?

So where Ford and Stan try (and fail, because they were unattainable to begin with) to meet and exceed their father's expectations, maybe Shermie sees their mother's complacency in their family's degrading dynamic and tries to compensate for that. After all, who else would invite their estranged brother (the one who lost someone, twice, in a way no person should) to the hospital to meet a new set of twins? Who else would suggest Stan Pines look after Dipper and Mabel when they needed a place to stay for the summer?

I identified as asexual for a bit there because I felt the same way about everyone I met, which is to say I wasn't attracted to them/couldn't understand why someone might be. I realized as I got older that it was more about who I was around than anything else, and now I identify as bisexual. That may one day change and that's ok.

A friend of mine identified as non-binary for a while then as a trans man. Another friend identified as a trans woman for a bit then came out as non-binary. I've known women who were married to men for years who later came out as lesbian. I've had friends who were comfy with any pronouns who later decided that some didn't feel good. I've had friends who liked a label then later felt that label didn't fit right anymore, or that another one was better, or that they didn't want to have a label at all.

Knowing exactly who you are is wonderful and a great feeling and should be celebrated, but we should also celebrate people who aren't sure or people who change their minds. Feelings change. Understanding yourself can change. Maybe a label that fits right now won't later or you'll find one that's more accurate. Maybe you'll decide you don't want a label at all and that's ok too.
