I really enjoyed Logan’s character arc tbh....is this just me?

S5 E7: You Jump I Jump Jack “Gilmore Girls”

When Luke breaks up with Lorelai and Sookie calls Rory for help, Logan notices immediately that something is wrong, and stops what he’s doing to see what’s up. When he finds out Rory’s car is at the dealer, he immediately offers up his car and driver. He doesn’t even ask what’s going on, he just knows that it’s important and gives her what she needs to get there. 

(contrast for example, Marty, who upon finding out she just broke up with her boyfriend, doesn’t ask if she’s okay. He immediately focuses in on “she broke up with her boyfriend, now I can date her!”)

Okay, so I'm rewatching season 5 right now and just finished Jews and Chinese Food. In this episode Logan and Rory make out and clearly the plan is they are going to have sex. Now, Logan asks Rory multiple times if she wants him to leave. He picks up on Rory hesitating and instead of getting mad he waits for verbal consent before he does anything. For someone like Logan this is a bit surprising. It made me think of Keg! Max, where Jess tries to force himself on Rory and then gets angry when she tells him no. I think this is one of many times where we see Jess and Logan put up against each other. This is one of the times Logan very clearly beats out Rory in his understanding of her and this is before they are even dating. Just a thought
