alexander michael james. oldest of two. born and raised in los angeles, california. his mom married rich when he was only two so he’s got a little trust fund he uses sometimes beside his own money. people know who his stepfather is, he’s a high-end lawyer who is very good at his job. preston james. 

growing up he wasn’t exactly the favorite child out of his stepfather and he pretty much knew it. they never got along and it would cause stress upon his mother who just wanted everyone to get along. he acted out a lot as a child and was popular growing up. high school prom king twice. 

when he was nineteen, after taking a gap year trying to decide what he wanted to do with his life. he finally decided to go to college at ucla. his first decision was to try to go to nyu, but he decided he loved the west coast a little bit too much to leave it. he was truly someone who loved the sun and heat. 

his passion was and always had been music. he’s in a band called black vinyl and they’ve been a thing since he was 19. but picked up when he was 23. so a good six years it’s been.

in college, he took a strong liking to drugs and started to get into the wrong crowd. he would go out and party. barely caring about school. but it didn’t stop his grades. he was a 3.8 gpa student. he was very smart even if his decisions seemed that he wasn’t. he was reckless. 

he moved to the city three years ago and decided he liked it a little bit too much so he decided to stay longer, getting a place right in the middle of the action of the city. he still travels a lot for work, though. 

nice guys finish last. he’s truly afraid of commitment. he’s only been in love once and he doesn’t like talking about what happened. he was engaged and with the girl for five years. he was head over heels for her. they broke up two years ago due to him never having time for her it seemed because of his work. right now, he likes to get around and probably has been around the city once or twice. 

he lives alone with his two dogs in a very nice penthouse, but he’s never truly alone. always has someone over or he’s always taking meetings via skype with pr and management. he’s a very busy man and he loves to stay busy. you could say he’s a workaholic. workaholic and borderline alcoholic.

Her parents were wannabe hippies who missed the days of the 60’s. In their twenties, they met riding around on a bus through all of America, living on the vinyl seats and smoking weed as they traveled

Tuesday was an accidental pregnancy and so they left the bus life and moved in with her maternal grandparents, got part time jobs and eventually moved to a small apartment on their own

They never wanted to be parents and never saw themselves living a typical lifestyle, so Tuesday got the message pretty early on that she wasn’t wanted. They were never unkind or abusive, just generally uninterested in their daughter. She was like an awkward antique coffee table from your relatives, something that you aren’t quite sure what to do with but know you can never get rid of

Like seriously she might as well have been a piece of furniture to them. They spent most of her childhood in the basement smoking weed and playing The Grateful Dead while she cooked herself meals of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches

Her dad worked as a party clown and her mom was a bus driver so she got picked on a lot in school ghgfdsdfg

Has an intense and burning desire to be loved because she never got it from them!! She made up for her lack of love by throwing it in any direction she could. She’s always been pretty popular at school because she’s kind to everyone and has an ability to make anyone feel comfortable around her

She found in school that she has a fantastic talent for anything artistic. Painting, sculpture, photography, she does it all. Also plays guitar and piano!!

When she was 13 her parents accidentally got pregnant again and gave birth to her little brother Alistair, called Ali for short. 

Her parents actually tried to be good parents for Ali which?? Pissed her OFF!! Like, they went to every parent teacher conference, nurtured him, were just AROUND which was heartbreaking for Tuesday to watch

She wanted to hate Ali just bc of this but she really couldn’t… there was something special about him and he was incredibly smart. Started reading at age two, and was a mathematical prodigy in the way that his older sister was an artistic prodigy. By age four Tuesday and Ali were having intense intellectual debates and she just found him incredibly fascinating, as well as kind 

Loved her little brother to pieces!! When she got her driving license she volunteered to drop him off at primary school every day and they rocked out together to all her favorite songs and she taught him the words to David Bowie’s Heroes

But then the accident happened, and Tuesday’s life was upended. Ali was kneeling down in her parent’s driveway, out of sight as their mother was backing up and leaving the house. She hit Ali and his lung was punctured by a rib. He was rushed to the hospital but he didn’t make it. 

The family split after that like a dropped snowglobe, the emotional shards of Ali’s death exploding in its wake. Her father left, unable to even hold their mother’s hand during the funeral. He blamed her for Ali’s death even though it was an accident. 

Tuesday’s mother fell into a deep depression that she’s never shaken. Her grandparents moved Tuesday and her mom back into their mom, and her grandparents are now the full-time caretakers for Tuesday’s mother. She wanders around most days in a drugged haze clutching Ali’s baby blanket with a bathrobe on.

As soon as she could, Tuesday got out of the house. She applied to college in downtown Chicago, packed her bags and got out. She still doesn’t like to talk about her family

Umm despite the tragedy she’s remained a really kind, positive person?? Her motto is “always be a little kinder than necessary.” She’s actually super embarrassed about how much she cares for everyone dfhgfds

Is a bit inspired by Noora from SKAM in that she’s not a fan of dating and keeps her walls up!!

She loves vintage t-shirts, converse, mom jeans, plaid skirts, red lipstick, big sweaters, pastel colors and her mom’s old Doc Marten boots from the 80’s

Doesn’t really drink to get drunk, but she does love drugs!! Of all kinds!! Mostly weed, but occasionally for big parties she’ll drop acid, or she’ll get high when she’s in a creative rut and needs to just go hog wild and paint sdfgfds

jen was mostly raised by her mother in small town in new jersey. she had a pretty normal childhood but never felt like she got the attention she needed from her parents. following their bitter divorce, her mom had a revolving door of boyfriends in and out of the house and her dad was preoccupied with his new family. 

eventually she started to look for that attention and validation elsewhere. she realized that she could use her sexuality to get what she was lacking, which was a whole new start for her. she gained confidence, felt validated and her sexuality became something of an identity for her

her college experience was a trainwreck, but after five and a half years of seemingly nonstop partying and debauchery, she made it out with a communications degree and a stubborn sti that she managed to ditch along with the shitty ex who gave it to her

she pulled a few strings of her own and landed a job assisting a freelance event planner and for the first time found the job she was holding to be almost enjoyable. this starter her working her way up the ladder, doing what she needed to do to land the jobs she wanted, not out of ambition. she just hated doing the boring stuff

new york city lead her to la where she got a better job and a handsome older boyfriend who liked to show her off. he was just emotionally available enough to keep her around but too controlling to ever be anything but a toxic match for her. 4 years of on again off again bullshit finally culminated in a massive blowout that lead to a bit of a relapse in her not-so-healthy sexual practices. 

in the absence of a relationship and feeling like she had something to prove, jenny reclaimed her sexuality in a way that worried friends, but she wrote it off as slut shaming and continued. her bender, comprised of risky behaviors with no concern for consequences or her safety, manifested like an addiction--she couldn’t seem to stop her own cycle of destruction, always chasing a high that was followed by an even bigger low. 

It took nearly losing her job for her to seek help. she decided she needed a change so she found a job in chicago as the head event experience & design coordinator for an event planning firm (she loves showing off her fancy title) and began seeing a therapist 

she’s still new to the city and trying to figure out her new normal, still reeling in the aftermath of the first brutal winter and looking to bounce back from a not-so-healthy relationship and the insanity that followed. 

Personality

Jenny can be the life of the party, it’s why she got into event planning after all. she loves to have a good time and encourages people around her to do the same, sometimes inadvertently becoming a bad influence. 

she loves attention and can be dramatic 

she can be selfish. she only really does what she wants to do and or what she knows will help her in the long run, but she’s working on it 

she’s kind of a fair weather friend. a great person to hang out with until the going gets tough. she can avoid tough situations or very strong emotions, although she would never back down from an argument or a fight.

Logan grew up in Queens, New York. Born to an immigrant and a business man. His mother is from Korea and the two met in Korea. The two fell in love and it was decided that she would move to America. It was like a fairytale love story. Everything about it was amazing. After moving to America they decided to have children and that’s when Logan was born. 

It wasn’t necessarily easy raising a child but it never is. They lived in a small two bedroom apartment while his father saved up money so they could move into a house. It had been them for just some time and after about three years of saving they eventually bought a house in Queens. It wasn’t anything extravagant but it was perfect for them. A cute 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house. Everything they needed. Logan was treated great by his parents and shortly after moving into the house his mother found out she was pregnant with his sister.  Logan was thrilled to be an older brother but his father was a bit concerned about how they would afford another baby. His mother assured them they would be fine and she would find a way to make money if necessary. His father insisting she didn’t need to do that but she did it anyways. Working a couple times a week watching a few neighborhood kids for a few hours. It wasn’t great money but it was enough for them to save away for the baby. That meant that Logan also got to be with other children a lot. He loved having new friends around all the time. 

A few months later his sister was born and the money his mother made was doing great for them. It wasn’t until she found out she pregnant, yet again, only a few short months later that things started to get a little tense. His father was more than concerned now. Trying to figure out ways to get more money. Working more and more hours. Picking up another job when his boss wouldn’t let him pick up more hours. He barely saw his father and he hated that. 

His mother once again started to watch kids in the neighborhood for extra cash. It was also a good way to get Logan to be able to get out and that was her main concern. Then his baby sister was born shortly after. He adored his sisters so much. His mother loved her children and so did his father but you could tell it was taking a toll on them. 

As they grew older things weren’t great. His best friend, whom he met while his mother was babysitting, could tell things were off at the young age of 10. Logan tried to ignore it because he didn’t want to believe it. Soon enough he started in sports and what not. As we all know sports aren’t cheap and well, it became a lot for his family to handle. They were already struggling. Logan was smart and would get straight A’s every year. He really didn’t have to try and his friends jokingly would call him the “smart asian kid.” He didn’t mind though those comments didn’t bother him.  His father saw how his son was excelling in sports and pushed him hard. This is when things got bad. With the increased sports cost between him and his sisters things took a turn. His father changed and at the young age of 14 Logan experienced things someone should never experience. His father started to gamble. He was good at it, until he wasn’t. Things took a turn and he started gambling more and more. Logan knew something was wrong but never said anything. Acting like it didn’t happen because he didn’t want to upset his mother. 

One night he heard them arguing about money. That was when he knew it was bad and he vowed that once he hit 16 he would start working just a few days a week so he could pay for his own stuff. He didn’t want to be the cause of an argument. That was only a few months away. Applying at different jobs when he could he finally got a job bussing tables in Manhattan. Meaning he would have to take the train but he didn’t mind that. 

Logan didn’t want his friends to know that his home life wasn’t going well. He always put on a face and pretended to be someone else. There was only one person who knew the real him and that was his childhood bestfriend. Although, she never said anything to anyone and Logan appreciated that. Being the smart, jock kid. Logan didn’t want people to think of him differently so he got that job in Manhattan avoiding people he knew. 

One night he had a late shift and come home to his mother waiting for his father to come home. She looked stressed and he didn’t like it but she assured him it was okay and to go to bed. Although, Logan didn’t do that. He went to his room but stayed up waiting. That was the night everything changed. His father came home from a night of gambling and ended up hitting his mother in an argument. She fell and hit her head. Logan heard the whole thing and heard his father take off. His mom needed medical attention. He called for an ambulance and told his sisters to hurry up. 

They arrived at the hospital and she ended up needing a few stitches. She had some broken ribs but nothing too extreme. She kept telling the doctors she fell and wouldn’t tell them what happened. Logan was furious. He watched the doctors take care of her and treat her with the most respect possible. It was that day that he decided to become a doctor. He wanted to help people. 

BUT that’s not the end. Eventually his mom recovered and they never spoke of it again. Until one night he came home again late from a shift at work. His father was about to hit his mother once again but Logan stepped in and got smacked. Leaving him with a bruise crossed his face. His best friend noticed but he begged her not to say anything. 

Logan kept his head down and just waited till graduation. Graduating with a 4.0 gpa he was accepted in many schools. Deciding to stay close he picked NYU as his undergrad program. He got a few scholarships and everything. Living on campus he could still go home if necessary but he couldn’t live in that house anymore.

He excelled in school and was offered a spot at (idk which med school claire said new york-ish area so we go with that). Accepting and starting his next journey. That was where he met Delta. He fell hard for her and really the rest was history. The two dated throughout med school. She pushed him about his family and eventually he told her everything. Tell her that’s why he never invited her over to his house, etc. That was why his mother and sisters always came to visit or if he went home it was by himself. It was apart of the many phone calls he had angrily made. He had never told anyone but his one friend and now Delta knew. 

Soon enough it was time for residency and they both matched in Seattle. Logan convinced Delta that they should go. He wanted out of New York and it would be great. His sisters were out of the house already and he knew it was time to move on. Keeping tabs on his mother still. Things had calmed down after his sisters moved out but he still hated his father.
