Ā Gotta love learning about how gender inequality starts in fuckin childhood. Not only have studies shown the wage gap starts in childhood but babies are also exposed to gender inequality. From shit marketed to baby boys vs. baby girls to adults sexualizing them; it happens from nearly day 1. And when I say sexualizing I donāt even mean what you may think- I mean parents and other adults calling literal babiesĀ āflirtsā andĀ āheart-breakersā. Itās a fuckin baby, you turd, it doesnāt even know what āflirtingā is. (These examples are only the tip of the iceberg)
Ā Then thereās fathers dictating what their daughters can and canāt do, mothers passing along their internalized gender standards, the wholeĀ āboys are easier to raise than girlsā bullshit. Gender standards with the binary are literally a social construct that have even been proven as racist as they disregard other non-western beliefs of gender. Gender being a spectrum has been around so much longer and the binary needs to stop being pushed onto the younger generations as itās spreading the aforementioned issues of inequality and sexualization of minors.
Ā And donāt get me fuckin started on children that donāt fall into theĀ ābinaryā and the shit they have to go through on top of this bullshit.
