In the darkroom my favorite thing to do was to see how close to the edges of the process I could get. Leaving prints in the fixer until they bleached out and crystallized, jamming Polaroid film packs into my enlarger, or melted Vaseline on glass between the paper and negative - everything was exciting and ripe with possibility. On the other hand my adventures in pixel pushing over the years has seemed less boundary tickling and more like a cheap photographic version of auto-tune. #databending has me reconsidering my love/hate relationship digital photography. Editing and intentionally corrupting the digital information of a photo reminds me of afternoons at Kinkos in Burlington dragging copies across the Xerox trying to get my skate shots to look like something @itsandyjenkins would print in a Club Homeboy zine. #loftyojive https://www.instagram.com/p/CPe6HWEM1C0/?utm_medium=tumblr
