My First Kpop Concert!!
I’m not exactly too sure as to why I’m making this post almost 2 months after the fact, but since my boyfriend says I should stop annoying him and get a hobby I guess I’m trying to get back onto tumblr, and talk about all the things that I love, which just so happen to be highly Korean based. hehehe .
So lets get to it!
So if you have been following my page thus far, you must clearly know which Kpop group is my favorite group, but if you are just on tumblr and just so happened to come across my page at 3:06 am, I’ll go ahead and tell you who those 6 angels above are. Those guys are none other than B.A.P!!! After about 1 year and 9 months they made their comeback and killed it!!!! Of course I am biased but I kid you not they killed it!! In 2013 they started their Live On Earth Tour (LOE) , which was them touring to different countries around the world. They then later had one the following year in 2014 ( LOE 2014) , however due to their lawsuit with their current agency, shortly thereafter , they we're unable hold a LOE 2015. After a long , difficult, but such a worthwhile wait, they made their long awaited comeback on November 15th , 2015 and I knew exactly what that meant, LOE was coming back in the summer of 2016!!
So like the rest of the B.A.B.Y fandom I was excited, watched all of their stage performances, and waited for the announcement of the tour, the dates, and the cities! My wait would not be in vain! It just so happened that I graduated from college in December 2015 so this was a perfect opportunity to reward myself for 4.5 years of hard work. Needless to say I bought my tickets for their April 25th stop in NYC ( I was so excited that I accidentally bought 2 tickets…. I asked my girl Lorena to come with me) . I even skipped a physics 2 class I was taking for Grad school prerequisites to go….the week of one of our exams (it only met twice a week… what?… don’t judge me).
Back to this concert, because of the college life struggle I wasn’t able to buy the best seats, good thing too, since I accidently bought 2! I honestly didn’t even care I only cared about the fact that I was going to be in the same place as my 6 boys! The two of us got to New York and made our way to the Playstation Theater formerly know as the Best Buy Theater, and we were absolutley shocked. The line wrapped around two blocks…. and those blocks in NYC aren’t short either. I can honestly say that our fandom is so incredibly diverse and so nice. I don’t say that because I’m a B.A.B.Y as well, but we really are. I was able to talk to some other Bang stans (although I’m absolutley sure he’s mine hehehe) and it was all love.
This was me after I bought my Bang Light stick (Which broke right before they came out beause I was swinging it all over the place like a fool)
There was no pushing when the doors finally opened, on the contrary everyone was very conscientious about everyone else, something I was worried about because I have heard about how Kpop concerts can get, and I’m not about that life we would of had a problem if Lorena or myself were pushed. No. But. For . Real. Though.
Now we make it into the theater and to our seats and the excitement just grew so much more, they did start about 2 minutes late, but you know who was counting (<. projected different things on the screen which boosted excitement and anticipation. this picture was taken by me at that moment my answer to i right here baby again don judge me. lol a hot behind mess sweating before concert even started because all over place must say girls next were having ball laughing with bring party haha you can see pretty far back there decent amount of people would like mention left side so isnt good represent present.>
They had their countdown, and then they appeared! I was screaming my head off, I completely forgot about the exam that I would have to take a few days later and was fully emersed into that moment. From start to finish everything was awesome. From the group performances, to the solo stages, it was on point. If you were there you would have seen Zelo’s Solo stage….. Our little baby aint a baby anymore, he went ahead and grew up on us. Please see Gif Below ….
Of Course all of the stages were awesome, our little Eomma HimChan showed up and showed out! Jongup, what can I say but that we have 4 vocals now baby, I was the most impressed with Jongup’s performance. I was so impressed because he was never looked at as a vocal, but more so as a dancer, so for him to sing live, and sing so well live that was awesome to see, and not just myself but all B.A.B.Y’s can see his hard work! So Great Job Jongup, You killed it !
I must say that as a Bang stan, I was a little disppointed that he didn’t have a solo stage, but I’m glad , because they may have had to call an ambulance to take me to the closest hospital, lol.
Towards the end of the concert there was a talk, where each member addressed the audience and spoke to us. I really enjoyed and appreciated this part, they even tried speaking some english, so I was in all of my fangirl feels, especially when Bang started speaking lord I couldn’t do anything about myself. So not long after their talk, they had their last stage performance and said their farewells……
After we shouted “ Encore !, Encore! Encore!” they of course came back and murdered the game!
They had an encore performance of Bang 2X that was extremely satisfying!!!
Man, I wish I were that close to Bae!!!
I thoroughly enjoyed myself that day, and my friend Lorena, who isn’t even a B.A.B.Y ( She’s a Beauty) said it was awesome, and it was also her first Kpop concert! I wouldn’t have asked for a better concert expierence because it was awesome. I waited for them to comeback so that they could be my first concert, and I was not dissapointed. I even got an awesome grade on my physics exam a couple of days later so it was sooooo worth it!! I can’t wait for next year!
Love these 6 maknae angels , Loved this concert and everything about it! I hope that this could make your heart smile, because it sure did make mine!
