Loadhaul appreciation:
One of the most distinctive liveries ever to grace Britain's railways was the orange & black of Loadhaul, one of the three shadow freight companies set by BR in 1994 in readiness for privatisation. Ultimately, Loadhaul was destined to be short-lived, as all three shadow freight companies were sold to Wisconsin Central in 1996, but the orange & black scheme could still be seen for years afterwards. Someone needs to make a Loadhaul t-shirt. I'd wear one!
