I just finished the 4th season of Longmire... and WOW that was frustrating! I'm so glad to know Walt and Vic get together eventually. What were your thoughts on the season, if you don't mind me asking.

So I finished my Longmire binge and popped in to say thanks for prompting it. Not only did it warm my shipper heart, but it was so well written all around! The secondary characters had depth, the dialogue was sharp and stories were interesting. I also thought the women were written so well. They had agency, were free to make sexual choices without judgement, and Walt left his job (at least partially) for the health of the relationship, something usually left to women in fiction. 1/2
I finished my Longmire playlist last night and started the first book today. I am well and truly roped in and loving it. Thanks again.

I just wanted to say hi since I just stalked all your quality Longmire content. I’ve been following you forever I think because of GSR and now that I have fallen into the Longmire spiral, it’s kind of funny how similar the Walt/Vic slow burn was to Grissom and Sara’s story. Anyway, rock on, keep being awesome and such.

I feel like I'll regret this message but I'm drinking and it's been on my mind a lot lately so good time as any. I can't stop thinking about that sex scene. Like really I don't remember any in my TV history that was so graphic but tasteful at the same time. And so not disappointing. I knew Walt would be generous, but the way he lookes at Vic? That analogy you did with a horse is spot on. (And that boob grab? Wow. And that's all Walt, she didn't even need to tell him like Sean) I want more ahem..

(btw it’s totally worth contrasting those 2 bedroom scenes and see what incompatible vs compatible looks like. It’s almost like being around the same age doesn’t automatically make for a satisfying relationship. /sarcasm)
As for THE SCENE, I 100% agree. I’ve been exposed to numerous coupling moments over the years, and this is one of the rare A++++ ones. It’s perfect bc the characters and their history define it. Also it’s HOT AF.

Ugh, the age difference. I'd maybe get it if Vic was some 21 year old rookie cop, but she has a marriage under her belt and a career. She's a grown woman. And it gets even trickier because Vic was like 30 in s1, but Idk how long has it been til we got to the finale, but Katee rly does look like a woman approaching 40 to me and that makes the age difference barely noticeable. Like, there are May-December romances, but this is moar like an August-December lol
Anon, I’ve seen Discourse on how hight difference btw 2 characters is Problematique and “unhealthy”, so these days I just straight up ignore the fandom inquisition and its clueless ridiculousness. And if sb looks at 30+ year old women and sees them as helpless children, that’s not sb I ever wanna have a conversation with.
Vic’s never had a problem holding her own against any dude of any age, Walt included. The only source of power imbalance in their relationship is him being her boss, but even that “difference” exists mostly on paper and not in practice, then not at all when Walt retires.
They make a great team both on and off duty. ;)
