may I request headcanons for Wukong, MK, Red Son, and Macaque finding out their crush or S/O has a snort laugh that they try to hide?
please and thank you
PLEASE?????????????? GOD I HAVE A SNORT LAUGH TOO AND THIS FEELS SO PERSONAL I'M GONNA BLOW UP
Reader is Gender Neutral by default
MK
S/O
MK absolutely LOVES to make people laugh and you are no different
So when he finds out you have a snort laugh, he REVELS in it
To him, it's a sign that he's doing a really good job and! It's really fucking adorable for him
If you're self conscious about it, he won't push you too much about it
He'd never want you to feel uncomfortable while you're with him, so he'll never push further than he's allowed
He'll always express how much he loves it when he gets the chance to though, don't get me wrong
Eventually, it gets to the point he develops his own and it's a never ending cycle between you two
It feels nice to have a bit more of a positive about your snort, but it does hurt after a while--
MK gets worse when he purposefully does what he knows makes you laugh the most
Your nose and throat hurts by the end of it
If you're laughing especially hard, he'll be grinning ear to ear at just the sound of it
He's glad to have ONE consistency in his life, what with everything that goes on
So if he can listen to your laugh before the next crisis, that's enough for him

Crush
(darkskinredsontruthertilIdie)
You so happened to slip up one day when Redson heard it the first time around, immediately trying to hide it right after
He didn't think much of it, not in the way you'd think at least
He always associated it as another irritating staple that he loves so much about you and infuriates him that it is
Like, excuse me
How dare you have the most charming, cute and cheeky laugh he's ever heard?
A peasant like you shouldn't be making his heart soar so much and so easily all the damn time
What the fuck >:(
Redson wouldn't trying to fish for it as much as the others, his pride prevents him
But he does savour the moments you do do it, don't get me wrong
However, when he sees you hide it every time right after, a part of him wants to try and ease your worries. At least, that's what he thinks
"You know... you shouldn't feel like you should hide your laugh."
"For all the annoying little quirks you have, this one is..."
"It's... endearing."
Silence.
Silence...
"Redson? Are you going soft on me?"
"NO! No- Do not-"
"D'awwww, you care!!"
"Redson cares for me!!"
"Know what?! Forget I said anything."
Cue the laughter, only this time with a bit more snorting given his reassurance in his own special, Redson way
In your fits of laughter, you miss a small smile growing on the demon prince's lips
In all your teasing, it's worth it to see you like this
Crush
Wukong has a tendency to be cheeky to the tenth degree and then some
So trust and believe he already knows
And he REVELS in it
He likes the sound of your laugh in general, so the fact he manages to get you laughing so much that you start snorting makes his heart do flips
He doesn't like that you try to hide it, but he'd be the last person to talk about not hiding something you're self conscious about
Given the whole shared headcanon of glamour, it becomes pot and kettle
Has that ever stopped him tho?
No
So why would it now?
He tries to get you to feel more comfortable with your laugh because he finds it very important to him
Is it another reason amongst a sea on why he loves you?
Yeah
Will he admit it?
No-
Well?
Not now-
Ahem
Anyways, when he hears your genuine laughter, he's shining like the sun and absolutely BEAMING with joy and whines when you hide it
"NONONO, don't hide it! I love your laugh!"
"Don't hide it please :("
Pulls out the big guns (puppy dog eyes) just to make you agree
"Fine"
Happy Monkey <3
Of course, he genuinely does try to make sure you're comfortable about it and reassures you in his own Monkey King way, so don't be too worried.
S/O
Like Wukong, Macaque is the last person to tell you not to hide something, the scoundrel
Motherfucker is hiding EVERYTHING
Smoke and Mirrors the character™
But, that has never stopped him before
With that established, given how all doom and gloom this brooding monkey is, he finds solace in your laughter, and he's picked up on your snorting even when you try to hide it
He hears all
But, unlike the others, he won't push you or try to convince you to reveal something you don't feel like revealing
He would know how that feels personally
And if Macaque is anything at all, he's self aware. enough
He'll let you get comfortable laughing in front of him to your fullest at your own time, while giving you quiet reassurance now and again
Once you're sure he won't judge you for it and you're fully comfortable, your laughter makes him the warmest he's felt in so long
Who would've thought? The Six-Eared Macaque has a heart!/j

Arrrggh, I know I should be asleep rn, but this idea was bugging me, so here you go!
Lately I've gotten much better at ASL, my friend and I have been learning it on and off for months but it really got me thinking, what if an Isekai reader was mute? So much to unpack, and Lego people probably don't have ASL or any way of using their hands to communicate. Worse, there probably would not be or ever be any mute Lego people because of design issues. If so, we just never see it. It presents quite the challenge for anyone entering their world.
I can see this MAYBE working out well if the reader ended up in Journey to The West or any other movie/media that does not involve having plastic, yellow, macaroni for hands.
Fandom: Lego Monkie Kid
Summary: (This is just a drabble to get my idea out because it's buggin' me) Reader wakes up one day in Lego Monkie Kid and struggles to process the lack of human hands.
----------
Sometimes you wish you could scream. This was one of those times.
In front of you stood what was supposed to be a fictional boy in a fictional world; but, having been just ran into by the excited hero made you realize this was all too real to be a dream. Things were clear, you could get hurt, you could smell, you could breathe, and most importantly, you were very self-aware. All evidence points to this being real. And you wanted to scream.
Getting up to dust your clothes off, you watched as what you recognized to be MK also get up. This was so uncanny.
Seeing the gears turn in his head, you watched as MK realized what happened before he came running up to you. "OHMYGOSHIAMSOSORRYABOUTTHAT-" He was frantically bowing over and over, not paying attention as you tried several times to raise your 'hand' to sign to him. You realized you needed his attention but he just kept rambling...and rambling...and more apologies came out until you finally grabbed his shoulder, gave it a squeeze, and made a small smile. Looking up, Mk made a nervous smile back "Are you okay? I'm so sorry I didn't mean to hit you with my staff!" He was practically eyeing you up down your body, most likely looking for injur- Wait. You got hit by his what now?
You flinched upon realizing what actually happened, ignoring MK's worried questions and prodding. You weren't ran into, well, you were, but you also got a good whack from the staff as well. So why didn't you feel anything?
"Uhhm...hello? I didn't hit you in the head did I?" You felt a hand gently tap your shoulder, snapping you out of your thoughts.
Looking over, you quickly began moving your hands, making odd gestures, trying to explain you were alright. MK looked confused, you looked annoyed once you realized the issue.
These hands, they weren't like yours, you can't communicate with them like you would back home.
A huff left your mouth as MK nudged closer to get a better look, he probably thought you were crazy now.
"I don't know what you're doing, but I'm sure you'll feel better with a bowl of noodles and quick check over?" The sentence came out as more of a question, MK clearly wasn't aware of the issue going on but he was too sweet to leave you here it seems.
It was a hard choice as weird as it sounds. On one hand, you could meet the main cast, but on the other, you don't know what you're getting yourself into. But...you need help and you feel overwhelmed. You doubt you'd feel comfortable being with other characters.
You gave MK a quick nod after thinking it through. Not even a split second passed before you were stuffed in the back of a noodle truck with MK hopping into the driver's seat, eyes sparkling "Perfect! I'm sure you'll love Pigsy's noodles!" Starting up the engine, MK sped off, not giving you a chance to buckle in.
Off in the distance, a bird watched the truck speed away from the crater left behind from one of MK's 'attack'. Imprints of your shoes were embedded into the stone due the force behind the staff. What a concerning sight...
Hello! I like your work and I was wondering if you could do a one-shot idea for either Macaque or MK with a gender-neutral reader. The prompt idea is that the reader has a scar on their arm somewhere and the other person accidentally grabs on that part of the arm, causing the reader to shove them away and look startled/scared for a moment. But after a second they calm down and acts that it never happened and if asked by them they get unnaturally cold towards them and continue to say it didn't happen. (Sorry if the format is confusing/awkward I'm not used to typing online)
Imagines
Pairing: Six-eared Macaque and Romantic/Platonic Reader. MK and Romantic/Platonic Reader. (Separate).
Summary: Reader has unresolved trauma and the boys have questions.
Warnings: Maybe a bit ooc for Macaque, but otherwise no spoilers this time. I changed it from a Oneshot to Imagines because I was compelled to do both like you asked, so I apologise if it’s not what you hoped for but you’re free to request more!!
Notes: I really love angst— yes, feed me, indulge me in my bad habits. Gender neutral reader. It’s mainly platonic but you can infer romantic feelings if you’d like!! Non-specific. Haha Macaque's one doesn’t end the happiest, but it’s okay. Also I’m sorry in advance baha.
Words: 1.2k for Macaque, unfinished MK, there’s an explanation I swear.
Also gentle reminder my requests are open! Feel free to leave an ask!! It would be greatly appreciated. See my pinned post for more details!!
Macaque / Liu’er Mihou!
You and Macaque are something along the lines of partners, he’s one of your only friends and you’re one of the very small few he tolerates beyond his average scale. Work colleagues at least and very close at best, you help him out with his work because unlike some people you’re remarkably capable in your line of business, and he admires your achievements— there’s no mess he could leave behind that you can’t clean up. You’re something of an assistant to him, helping him organise his deals and collect his due when necessary, but on occasion you might lend an experienced hand in aid as an accomplice, your abilities are nothing to scoff at, after all, how else could you call yourself a friend of the six-eared simian if you went at least up to his own standard. Though you weren’t as competent as Macaque himself, you can hold your ground if need be, at least, which makes you suitable if not ideal for him to work with.
Though a lot of your background story is shrouded in mystery, he doesn’t really know what your deal is, but since you don’t ask him personal questions about his dramatic past, he respects you in kind and doesn’t ask anything beyond his bounds, he knows where you limit him. All he does know is that you’ve been in the industry for much longer than he has, whether it’s a cause for concern is yet unknown to him, but it’s not strange for folks like yourself and him to wind up in this kind of work. It had just simply been by matter of circumstance that you’d come to work together, whatever made it easier to earn more, you’d suppose.
Tonight however despite the careful, intricate planning considered beforehand, the job had been a total bust thanks to a crude but admittedly unintentional mistake you had made. You’d managed to escape outside through the crossfire and under the cloak of night, fleeing without a trace, they weren’t able to follow after you—
but Macaque would not be pleased with these results especially since your slip up meant he had to scuffle with the clientele himself because of it. You weren’t sure what impression to expect when you next regrouped, but you tried to keep your hopes low and pleaded with whatever god of luck may be lurking to pity you some and alleviate his anger, if only partially.
Fortunately enough though you were just glad you both came out unscathed by the ordeal, but tensions were high between you and your partner over it. With your back to the wall and head hanging loosely between your knees from where you sat positioned on the floor, you assessed any damage that might’ve occurred without your potential awareness, ignoring the sharp gaze of the monkey who's back turned to you, dismissing his mood as you surveyed your legs in concern.
“What was that?” He spoke, seeing how you weren’t going to indulge him with an answer to the night's prior events. With his back still facing you in an arrogant disposition that teased at his agitation, you didn’t really feel the most inclined to humour him, unwilling to put up with his attitude. In response to your silence he sends a dreaded, sharp glare toward you and you relent, shoulders falling in defeat. Maybe you could be an easy foe, but it’s been a long night, plus it’s Macaque. It's fine, be quiet.
“What was what?” You feign ignorance, swallowing dryly as his stare remains cold, exhaling through your nostrils forcefully in a strained sigh. “It was an accident, alright? Don’t get your tail in a twist, it wasn’t something we anticipated.” You dismiss, rising to your feet at his disapproval. It was a truly silly mistake, your cover was blown and the whole espionage went up in smoke and sirens, but it was fine, he just had to realise that. You just wished he’d suck it up for once, he’d made mistakes before too, maybe not as disastrous as today but it wasn’t fair for him to lash out on you for one failure when your track record with him was as solid as it is. “Are you alright, though? I would’ve stayed to help but I thought it would’ve only inconvenienced you further, I didn't want to anger you more by burdening you with my presence during a large scale fight like that.” You hesitantly approached him at that, the aftermath hadn’t been the prettiest and he had to get quite involved in order to escape the whole ordeal, so your concern did stem from a place of genuinity.
In return for your concern he shoots you a look, grabbing the arm that reached for him with a stern and increasingly tight grip. “Do you know how much money we lost—“
He was quickly cut off by your cry of distress, yelping at the sudden force against a very large, very personal scar that resided up the length of your inner arm. It was something mostly hidden from view, hanging at your sides with your arms in resting and wearing long sleeves can make the antique wound seem oh so unnoticeable. But the grief it had caused you over many years was triumphant and the potent memory of how it was received is still fresh in your mind, tender and as pulsating as the scar under his vice hold. You quickly lashed at him until you were freed, cowering back a few steps and wincing at the ripe sensation. It had never healed, and you assumed it never would no matter the amount of remedies you tried. Macaque had attempted to release his hold earlier upon your initial reaction, it was unlike you to flinch if at all and now you’d instinctively retreated away from him, a sullen but sure gaze of hurt in your eyes that shocked him.
You’d always been one to hold yourself to a high regard, you were admirable and courageous, and he had been sure to withhold his strength to a lesser extent— it definitely was not him that’d hurt you, right?
Seeing his surprise, you took a brief moment to recollect your composure, gently returning your arm to rest once more idly by your side with a disgruntled sigh. He seemed to sit in a silent anticipation, as if expectantly waiting for an explanation out of you, but you’d be damned if he were ever to receive one after he’d snapped at you, returning back with a smooth, even tone. “Whatever we lost I can compensate again later, even if it means taking on some of my own jobs to reimburse you for your damages if it’s just so important to you.” You’d note, dusting yourself off and brushing past him like the entire altercation hadn’t happened at all. He seemed rather perturbed, following your figure closely before he tugged on the fabric of your top to halt your exit.
“What was that?” He repeated, as if only an echo of the former anger when he’d asked the question earlier.
“What was what?” You’d parrot, forming a thin line with your mouth and turning away, leaving the monkey to welt in a small pool of guilt. He’d have to apologise, even if he was a little confused by the situation.
MK / Qi Xiaotan!
You’d been a rather long time friend of the newly named Monkie Kid, though you couldn’t hold a candle to the extensive history of he and Mei, but you’d met the two some time after they’d become besties and you were pretty much, without so much as a word of complaint, adopted into the now trio of hero hooligans. A mostly unwilling, low key thrilled to be included participant of their many shenanigans and various escapades. Of course you and Mei were close as could be, but if you had to understand a scale of reference you’d consider yourself maybe closer to MK, you’re often the one who convinces him to console in you when he needs someone to talk to and you’re willing to hear him out until the end.
Nobody really knew where you came from, though. One day you’d just up and appeared and you were great! So no questions were really ever asked, especially when there wasn’t a need to, they’d known you long enough even before MK had been crowned the official successor of the monkey king, you weren’t a suspicious person.
OK SO UM SORRY FOR THE SUDDEN CUT OFF LMAO I have a notice haha…
Well anyways I apologise for the cut off, I will update this when I can when I finish this but well, my house flooded a little while ago and it caused mold to grow under the floorboards so we’ve had to fix the plumbing and then organise for the floors to be stripped and replaced so the mold can be dealt with yikes, so I’ve been struggling with writing lol, but the show must go on so I’m posting this preemptively.
I hope this doesn’t sadden you too much, I will still be working on this and I won’t move on to another request until it’s done but please be patient with me. I posted pretty consecutively but my schedule will probably fall into a weekly/biweekly routine for updates at best!! Not sure when I’ll get it finished, but check back regularly and you’ll know. Love YALL, stay safe, don’t get your house flooded! xx
Hi is it ok if you do Yin and Jin x Sibling! Reader
Where reader feels like thier in thier brothers shadows and their way of coping with it causing serous damage to the mortals. They would hurt them...... at least not physically but definitely mentally. Until Yin and Jin catch wind of this by listening in to the mortals and being good big brothers to talk, discipline and get to the bottom on why thier sibling is acting this which the brother then find why and that reader doesn't wanna feel overshadowed by them and just want attention good or bad..
Platonic (obviously) a bit of angst and fluff.
Hello! I'm gonna clear up some left over requests in my inbox, hope this didn't take too long! Good ol' gold and silver demons. I love those little dweebs (affectionate).
Rusted Metal | Jin and Yin x platonic!sibling! reader
You loved your brothers.
If anyone were to ask you that you would immediately say 'yes'. Why wouldn't you? They're the most clever trickster demons there are in the city. They're the gold and silver demons, the greatest enemies of the Monkie Kid! Of course you look up to them.
They were the best siblings you could ever ask for. They shine like glimmering statues, standing tall in the massive city that is Megapolis. A bit goofy, yes, but that was part of their charm.
They did everything they could to take care of you when you were little. They declared that they would be the best older brothers to you, and they kept by that promise for years. You would give the world to them for all they’ve done for you.
So yeah. You loved your bros.
But sometimes, being their sibling feels... Underachieving.
They're silver and gold. The two most valuable metals in the world. What does that make you? Compared to your brother's statues that basically shine in the sunlight, you feel like you're merely a tiny speck of dirt behind them, overwhelmed by the shadow the statues cast onto you.
Gold and Silver. Silver and Gold. They're the dynamic duo.
And you're always left out.
Maybe you're not even a metal at all. Maybe you're just rust. That would explain the biting and acidic feeling you get whenever you see your brothers carry out one of their plans while you're left awkwardly standing to the side, forgotten.
It would make sense. Your entire life, you’ve been raised and cared for by Jin and Yin. And what do you do in return? Absolutely nothing. For all you know, you’ll end up corroding them, tarnishing their metal glow and replacing it with a rusted over sheen.
Those intrusive thoughts swirl in your brain, slowly seeping into every part of your body. You hated feeling like this. You hated feeling so useless.
You needed a way to release all these pent up emotions, before it tears you apart from the inside.
And what better way to do that than messing with some mortals?
Don't get this wrong, you would never hurt a mortal. Not physically, anyway.
But it was always fun to psyche them out. The gradual doubt in their faces as you spewed out nothing but lies makes you feel a gram of satisfaction, pointedly ignoring your own feelings about your brothers. A part of you acknowledges that this isn’t the healthiest way to deal with your problems, but you shove that thought aside.
Heading back to your hideout, you catch whispers of gossip about you from the streets. A wave of pride washes over you before slowly being converted into shame. Why would you ever feel pride about this?
But that thought was quickly stomped out as you headed back to your family’s hideout, carefully opening the doors and tip-toeing inside. Your brothers never knew about your little excursions in the night to mess with mortal’s heads, and you don’t plan on letting them know anytime soon.
But it seems like luck wasn’t on your side today, as Jin pops out from another room and says “Oi, there you are Y/n! Where’ve you gone off to? We haven’t seen you all mornin’!”
You stiffen before casually straightening up and rubbing the back of your neck in a sheepish manner.
“Yeah, sorry about that Jin. I was trying to explore the city to get some junk for your schemes, but I guess I lost track of time.”
Jin looks down at your empty hands and back at you. You feel a brief sense of dread and guilt as Jin gives you a scrutinizing look, before shrugging and calling for his twin.
“Alright! Ey, Yin! Y/n’s back!”
“Really?” Yin peeks his head from out of the room. He strolls out, hands on his hips and scolds you like a mother. “And where’ve you been, ey? Ya gave us a right scare when we saw you were gone!”
You playfully raise your hands in surrender as Jin explains to his twin where you went. Yin only huffs and shakes his head, talking about how you could’ve been kidnapped if you continued on doing this.
Your smile becomes a bit strained as they bicker amongst each other. If only they knew what you were really up to when you go out... They won’t be worried about you getting kidnapped, that’s for sure. But disappointment and disgust was a definite reaction if they were to ever hear about what you do to mortals in your free time.
“Urgh, you’re impossible!” Yin throws his hands in the air dramatically. Jin rolls his eyes, and you chuckle at their animatedness.
“Anyway!” Jin gives you a big grin. “We’re workin’ on another scheme we’re plannin’ to pull next week! Wanna help us out?”
Your eyes widen in surprise. “You... want me to help you guys?”
“O’ course!” Yin wraps a shoulder around his brother, copying his smile. “You’re our sibling, your infoot helps improve our little pranks!”
Jin frowns, “Uh... Mate, I think it’s ‘input’.”
“Input? What’s input-”
“No, the word you just said- It’s input, not infoot-”
“Input... Really? I thought-”
They argue once again in whispers. Their antics bring a smile to your face, joy bubbling in your gut when you processed what they asked of you.
“Yeah!” You say, interrupting their banter. “Yeah, I’d love to help you guys!”
They go back to their smiling faces, and gesture you to come inside the room. You jog inside, a big grin on your face, not noticing the twins both giving each other a serious glance behind your back and shutting the door behind them.
--------------
Okay, so this was getting awkward.
The entire time you’ve been ‘planning out a new scheme’, your brothers have been constantly sending you furtive glances when they thought you weren’t looking. It was getting a bit irritating, but you guess that they’re just doing it out of good will. You had no idea why they keep glancing at you, as if desperately wanting to say something but can’t, or are just too afraid to, but you trust them that they’ll tell you sooner or later.
A few minutes go by though... And you’re starting to get worried. The joy that once filled your body was now replaced with annoyance and nervousness that twisted your gut. Every time your brothers glance at you, you feel a pit forming in your stomach, only worsening when they look away and continue talking with clear hesitance.
They obviously had something to say to you. That was why they brought you here in the first place.
A part of you feels that burning, acidic feeling again when you realise they didn’t really wanted to let you help them out with a scheme.
Why would they anyways? It’s not like you’d contribute anything useful.
You clench your fists, tired of thinking and feeling this way. The annoyance that was slowly building up the longer you’ve been in the room has reached its breaking point, its cracks slowly crawling up your body, threatening to snap.
Another glance makes you slam your fists against the table, making your brothers jolt.
“Alright, what’s going on? You guys got something to say?”
Jin and Yin tense and send each other a worried look. Your eyebrow twitches, and a scowl etches itself onto your lips.
“Well? Spit it out.”
Despite your angry face, anxiety clenches your gut. From the look of their faces, whatever they gotta say must be serious. That’s not usually a word you’d describe your brothers, but seeing them so stone faced and filled with worry makes your heart beat faster in fear.
They aren’t gonna talk about... that. Right? They can’t possibly know.
Yin coughs in his fist, making you direct your anger to him
“Well... Ya see, Y/n we-” he rubs his neck. “When you went missin’, we tried lookin for you. Ya know, since we’re your big brothers and all and we gotta take care of ya! And when we went out we... Well, we heard some- some not so nice things about ya from the mortals.”
Your heart jumps in your throat, an icy chill seizing your body.
Jin continues, “And we know it can’t be true, cuz you’re our siblin’! But... With how weird you’ve been acting lately...”
Your knuckles turn white from how hard you’re gripping the table. Your nerves are on fire, your breaths shallow.
Your brothers, seeing your reaction, carefully leans over the table takes each of your hands in their own. They both give your hands a loving squeeze, a reassuring look in their eyes.
“Hey, it’s alright. We ain’t mad.” Jin says.
Yin nods, “Yeah. We’re just worried, is all. We’re your bros, and we wanna know if what the mortals are sayin’ is true. We won’t get mad at ya if it is, okay?”
Their voices lower down into a comforting tone you vividly remember from your childhood. They used it all the time whenever you were scared, or had nightmares and ended up racing to their bedrooms and hiding in their sheets. It was so much simpler back then, when the only things you had to fear were the darkness and being caught by authorities.
But now, you had bigger fears. And every single one of them were coming true.
The only difference is, you can’t hide in your brothers room anymore. You can’t count on them for support or comfort.
Because they’re a part of your fears.
How are you supposed to tell them if they’re the ones you’re scared of?
“I-...” Your throat tightens, and you can barely get the words out.
“Hey hey, it’s okay. We’re here, it’s alright.”
They get up from their seats and pull you into a hug. They rub circles on your back, whispering words of comfort and promises.
You feel horrible. Your brothers are so good to you and yet... Yet you’re so ungrateful. You just wanted to be seen and known, just like them. But with all the things you’ve done to the mortals, you’re sure that they won’t forgive you.
“I...” Your voice wobbles, and your face twists as you try not to cry. Hopelessness weighs down on you, making your figure tremble in the arms of Jin and Yin.
“It’s alright, sibs.” They whisper. “It’s okay. Let it out, we’re here for ya. Just tell us what happened, we won’t judge ya at all...”
That makes you break. A choked sob leaves your lips as your bury your face in your hands. Your brothers squeeze you in their embrace as they listen to you blurt out what you’ve been doing and why.
“I’m sorry,” You sniffle, tears rolling down your cheeks. “I just... didn’t wanna feel so useless compared to you guys. You- you took care of me my entire life and- and I do nothing in return. I thought that maybe... If I messed with some mortals, I could’ve gotten some attention that way. That was stupid, I don’t know why I did that. I just-”
You bite your lip, trying desperately not to sob again. Jin wipes away your tears, and Yin hands you some water and tissues that were kept on the table. Their faces transitioned from worry, to shock, to sadness as they listened to your entire confession. Both of them kept silent, letting you spill out your feelings in a fit of sadness, staying by your side the entire time.
When you finished blowing your nose and taking some sips of water, your brothers release you from their hug to give you some space. You brace yourself for the inevitable disappointment, because as much as they said they won’t get mad, what you’ve done was something that was deserving of some sort of punishment.
“Y/n...” Jin starts, and you feel your heart sinking. Jin sees your hunched figure and places a hand on your shoulder. “Hey, it’s alright! Like we said, we ain’t mad.”
“But aren’t you disappointed?” You whisper, loud enough that they could hear you. “I did all that, just because I didn’t have any attention. It’s stupid-”
“Hey, no it ain’t!” Yin cuts in. “Ya felt left out and abandoned, that’s perfectly find an’ valid. We don’t blame ya for trying to cope with how ya feel.”
“It’s just that, well... it’s not the healthiest coping mechanism, innit?”
You nod slowly.
“And! As your bros, it’s our responsibility to take care o’ ya and take note of how ya feel! And, we didn’t-... really did a good job of that, did we?”
Jin and Yin look at each other with regret in their eyes. Their voices quiet down to a whisper, as if they didn’t want anyone else but you to hear.
“We’re... We’re sorry for not noticing how ya felt. We know it ain’t our fault exactly, but- well... We shoulda seen how you were acting and asked you sooner. We’re your bros, it’s our job.”
Your eyes turn downcast, ashamed and not wanting to meet their eyes. “You don’t have to apologize. It’s my fault for not telling you guys anything and taking it out on the mortals.”
There’s a brief pause, where you all stay silent. Only the trees swaying in the wind and the chirping of birds fill the air, as you stay in place in your brothers arms.
It was oddly comforting, in a way. It was like you were a child again. You’d give anything to go back to those times.
But... If you think about it, nothing really changed. You’re still young, you’re still scared, and despite your mistakes your brothers still love you wholeheartedly.
You’ve all grown and matured over the years, yes. But at the same time, nothing has changed. They’re still the lovable brothers you always knew, and you’re still their little sibling they love with all their being.
Yin breaks the silence.
“How about we all just say sorry? That’s easier to do, I think.”
Jin nods with a whisper, “Tha’s a good idea.”
He then looks at you, still caged in their hug. “I’m sorry, Y/n.”
Yin gives you a light squeeze. “I’m sorry too.”
You open your mouth, but the words stay clogged in your throat. You gulp, hoping to at least say something, before croaking out a soft:
“I’m sorry.”
Yin gives you a soft smile, “See? Everything’s better now.”
Jin agrees, before saying something hesitantly. “We promise we won’t make ya feel that way again, Y/n. Kay? And if we ever do, tell us.”
You nod, an immense weight being lifted off your shoulders. “I will.”
A sigh escapes your lips, tiredness replacing your anxiety. You slump and snuggle into their embrace. “You’re the best bros ever.”
You hear them both chuckle, “We know.”

Just saying this now, but if Macaque ever met Y/n they would’ve TOTALLY bonded. Mac would’ve taken one look at Y/n’s angsty aura and be like “damn they just like me fr!!”
Also!! Sorry this took so long to get out!! I had some school things I had to submit last minute + the fact that this isn’t formatted like a brainrot/headcannon like usual! Still hope you like it tho :]]
Hey, Monkie kid Fandom? I need a little help with an idea.
so I’ve already got a reader insert where the reader is based off of Rikki-Tikki-Tavi. But I also recently came up with 2 more reader insert ideas.
First one is a reader who’s based off of Sakuna from the game Sakuna: of Rice and Ruin.
The second is a reader who’s born mortal to a fun-mom tattoo artist. They grow up with little to no adult supervision and end up tattooing lotus petals and flowers in a pattern all of their body when they’re a teen. Their mom congratulates them on their artistry, and there’s no reprimand.
Reader figures it’s just an embarrassing story from when they were younger. Jump years later and reader knows Mk and the crew. Readers along for the adventure and then they meet Nezha.
It’s on sight.
Just; Instinctual Sibling Aggression that neither of them knew about existed. Reader might’ve been born mortal, but they’re spiritually Nezha’s sibling now. And with the spiritual title comes a power boost that puts the reader at even ground for aggressive fighting Nezha like the pair of siblings they are.
Oh, and the old embarrassing lotus petal tattoos glow now… yippee.

Hey! Could you do a request for Sun waking macaque, redson and nezha(if your comfortable) where reader and they had met in the like the past and fell in love but the reader died(you can decide of what) and now in the present they meet the now reborn reader and they fall in love again?
UWAHAHAHS I LOVE REINCARNATION HEADCANONS! THE ANGST, THE SLOW BURN, THE FLUFF, I LOVE IT ALL
Fits even more given Nezha has reincarnated himself a good time or two but, I'll still be writing him platonic
gonna do bulletpoint as a default
post note, like months years in advance: sorry for being so damn dead
Reader is Gender Neutral
Sun Wukong (Monkey King)
Wukong has dealt with his own fair share of watching his connections live and die
Most defintely his old companions and Master. He knows what it's like to grieve of those who you held dear, there's few who can live as long as he after all and even they are fewer and far in between of those that really /care/ for him like that that have bested the tests of time
So losing you around the time he loses all else he holds dear hit him
He's immortal like tens time over, it's bound to happen
But that doesn't make it easy with dealing with grief and the sorrow
He suggested using a peach on you before at least once, but you politely let him down on the idea
"Not something for you," you said. It was an experience you didn't want to go through yourself
And as much as Sun Wukong wanted to, considering he had PLENTY to go around even if it was against your wishes, thinking about you instead of himself would be the better option
That's not a pain he wished to put on you
It'd break his heart to watch the pain on your face almost daily
Plus, he's gone through FAR worse, so this'll pass right?
Wrong
Even when he thought he'd be able to deal with it and cope throughout the years, that hole in his heart kept him back for who knows how long
It was hard without you, if he were to be honest
So when he saw you (or at the very least who he thought looked HIGHLY similar to you) he thought he was delusional
Had to use his golden sight for a sec there
And lo and behold it's you? Like, your soul is there and whatnot but... not? It was hard to explain to himself
He didn't have time to go into it so he just tried to play it casual, trying not to react to any "you look familiar" comments and whatnot on impulse
One of the few times he keeps those in check
I imagine that Wukong does things he remember the old you loving, and by chance current you loves as well while keeping in mind the things that have changed
Whether it be his antics or his stories, he would do everything that made you smile and laugh in his wake.
Though, getting into his own head doesn't help and he thinks about the possibility of you rejecting him as a whole
And the thought kills him
He's not ready to lose you again
So imagine the surprise and relief when he receives a confession from you
Cause Gods know he wasn't gonna make the first move
It... reminds him of the old you
Regardless of how you passed the first time, he'll stop at nothing to keep you close
He missed that warmth
RedSon
Redson is too familiar with loss
WAY too familiar
So when you passed, possibly followed either before or after his father was sealed, it didn't hit him well
You were the love of his life, the only one who could properly handle him
Fuel his fire or Put it out
It didn't matter
You could do it all and he'd obey without a second thought
So when you died it...
It crushed him
I imagine this ended up fueling Redson, for better or worse on his inventions
Including with bringing his father back
The bull clones were helpful. They could do their job
And keep him distracted
Because it's better to ignore the pain than let it fester
That's what he thinks, anyways
By the time he frees his father and is up to his shenanigans, he spots a familiar face in the crowd
Is that...?
No
Couldn't be
That's impossible
Yet MK was able to pull out the Monkey King's staff, so anything could happen at this rate...
...Redson's plans took a pause that day
He wasn't slacking off! Just... needed to make sure he wasn't seeing things
If he figured that out, it would make it easier to focus on his mission
He could send a bull clone to do it, but what good would that serve?
...This was for selfish reasons anyway. He had to be the one to see this through
Once he turned that corner, Redson couldn't believe his eyes
It was you
It really was you
Not you but... it damn near was
Things were different. Style of dress, your body language maybe
But things remained the same. The little things like any visible birthmarks, the sound of your voice, that cadence
It was unmistakable
After that day, little by little, Redson made his way back into your life
It was still Redson, and without you he seemed just as bad if not worse than he was prior to your death
Shorter temper and all that
But whatever drew you to him the first time, it brought you to him again
And he thanked the Jade Emperor himself that that was the case
You were able to rein him in again. You mellowed him out
I imagine you were the reason why he was so chill by season 3
Well
As chill as Redson can be at least
He was just glad to have you back
...Now about that world ending crisis-
Six-Eared Macaque/Liù ěr Míhóu
I imagine you were a part of the brotherhood along with Macaque
So imagine how he felt when he lost Wukong AND you
Whether you fell in battle against the Celestial Army or you passed just before his own Death
God forbid if you died alongside him
That might have fueled his already irrational actions with his fight against his former brother
When he died, he hoped he'd join you, one way or another
But fate seemed to have other plans
Macaque was revived, and besides abandoning Lady Bone Demon for his own livelihood, he hoped to find you
Whispers in the wind carried your name, somehow
And if he could be revived, what's stopping you from being revived too?
So he searched. He had no idea how long he searched, but damn did he look
He kept hearing your name
It was driving him mad
If you died by Wukong's hand, know that it fueled his hatred for the King even more
Between finding you and avenging his (or your) death(s), he was on a warpath
And then he found you
After years of endless searching and hearing your name echo in his skull without seeing your face
He found you
He did it.
He tested to see if you remembered him
But that confused, bewildered expression on your face...
God the pain in his chest was unbearably strong that day
There's phantom pains and then there's this
He holed himself up for a while after that
Once Macaque finally crawled out of his hidey hole, it took him a while to approach you again
Perhaps like.
After season 2 or 3's events awhile
He needed a push first
In between events of seasons 3 and 4, he tries again
Gets to know you
Understand you
The current you
You're different, but still the same to him in the ways that matter most
He's bad at this at first, an absolute mess around you when it's not being snarky or cheeky
But like Redson, whatever pulled you to Macaque before, it brought you back
Kept you around to help him out
And of course, clock his ass when he needs it
...He always loved that most about you
NeZha
Being someone who's most loyal to the Celestial Realm first and foremost, NeZha hadn't had many who he would consider closer
What with the life he had and his position now
So come to find out of your passing, especially if you were an immortal?
It hits him. Hard.
People around him in the Celestial Realm say that NeZha seems more distant than usual since news of your passing
He keeps it professional. There's no need for him to dwell on it
That's the image he paints anyway
He mourns in his own way
And mourning you makes the river dam break
But he still has a duty to uphold
Regardless of if he's hurting
Doing said job, though, NeZha stumbles upon a familiar face
At first, he doesn't entertain the idea. He didn't want to get distracted
But as fate would have it, you both cross paths again
He tries, Gods does he try not to have it happen again
But Fate is funny in how it works
You both keep crossing paths. Either being of your similar lines of work, or him somehow having to save your life
If he could, NeZha would start greying from the stress
Over time, though, the parts of you that brought him strong fondness start to appear again
It's few and far in between, because he's busy doing his job in the Celestial Realm
Obviously
But otherwise?
It's soothing. Having these moments of solace
It helps whenever he has a long day
NeZha eventually finds out you were reincarnated. Not like it wasn't obvious, of course
You were too similar to how you used to be to be a coincidence
No matter if you change outside, the soul always remains
