Lloyd’s Inn

A gorgeous, gorgeous staycation that I booked for D’s big 3-O in October last year.

I had been eyeing the location for over two years, because I fell in love with it after seeing a friend’s post. Prior to booking, I analysed and monitored the take-up rates for the rooms, all 8 of which are uniquely designed. The rooms are snapped really fast, especially for weekends. I managed to book the Skyroom, the largest deluxe room available, probably only because I did it 7 months in advance. Yep, I booked the room in March for a stay in October — I didn’t want take the risk.

I loved everything from the white walls to the white sheets to the white everything. Infinite sunlight, outdoor rainshower and bathtub, minimalist wayfinding, the ultimate Kinfolk/ Cereal/ Vulture library — every single corner was so pretty it made me want to cry.

Bedrock Bar & Grill

Dinner was at Bedrock Bar & Grill, which was conveniently located about a nice 10-minute walk away from Lloyd’s Inn. D had the steak but being not as big a fan as he was, I had the burger instead. He loved the steak; I succeeded.

Freshly Baked By Le Bijoux

Lloyd’s Inn also has tie-ups with a couple of breakfast locations which are located outside its vicinity — about 5-7 minutes to walk. We had our breakfast at Freshly Baked, which was surprisingly delicious.

A good staycation. Would definitely head back!
