How I feel about this character

Ann: Ann might be my favorite out of all the girls. I love that she’s not just “the model;” I love that she’s good at English and terrible at acting, and while all of the Phantom Thieves are struggling to find their place in the world I think that she really is. I love that her element is fire; I’m not super happy about her Phantom Thief outfit, but I think that with both her and Ryuji (and Akira, as well), there’s a certain element there of reclaiming what people say about you, taking that and turning it into power.

Makoto: I…had actual tears in my eyes at Makoto’s awakening. It was so good for me. I love how they balance Makoto’s confidence with her insecurities; that is so, so real to me.

Haru: Haru grew on me, and part of that’s not her fault, just that she’s introduced so late in the game, so we don’t spend much time with her. I love her spine of steel underneath the fluffy hair and big pink sweaters; Haru is never so good for me as when she’s just landed a Technical on a shadow, firing that grenade launcher. (And how great is it that the girliest character gets the largest weapon/most explosive gun? Pretty goddamn great.)

All the people I ship romantically with this character

Ann: SHIHO. Ann is so in love with Shiho, end of story. Although I could also see my eventual way to some Ann/Ryuji.

Makoto: I honestly haven’t thought much about shipping Makoto with anyone, but I can see her bonding with Haru over this band of unruly second-years.

Haru: I can see Haru with Makoto. Makoto is the kind of person Haru wishes she could be, strong and confident and sure of her course. Haru takes comfort in their friendship, and tries to borrow some of that strength for herself.Also under select circumstances I can actually see Haru and Akira together, especially with her moving to take more control of her father’s company; I imagine he keeps her grounded. I can just see Akira standing behind her at press conferences and corporate functions, a slightly mysterious presence that no one knows much about. High school sweethearts, is what Ms. Okumura always says, but doesn’t he have a criminal record? The Okumura fortune can excuse a lot, and there’s no accounting for taste, one supposes, but there’s something slightly unnerving about his smile, isn’t there.

My non-romantic OTP for this character

Ann: Ryuji. I’m deeply invested in Ann and Ryuji as constantly bickering pals.

Makoto & Haru: Combining this one because the answer is Ann and Futaba - I want the girls to hang out together and be supportive of each other, and I especially want Futaba to know that the other girls will always have her back.

My unpopular opinion about this character

Ann: As mentioned above, I’m not a huge fan of Ann’s catsuit.

Makoto: I don’t…actually care for how hugely afraid Makoto is of the dark. I get what they were going for - to show that she has insecurities along with her confidence - but I don’t know. It didn’t strike a chord with me. It felt like undercutting her character - see, she’s not really all that confident, she’s afraid of the dark!

Haru: I’m not hugely enamored of Haru’s English voice! The high breathy tone has never done much for me, I’m afraid. But it’s not a huge deal, definitely something I can live with.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.

Ann: Let! Ann! and Shiho! Date!

Makoto: I would have loved to see more reconciliation with Sae.

Haru: I didn’t get super far into Haru’s confidant arc, so maybe this does happen, but I really want to see her take the reigns of her father’s company.

i love how this kind of thing actively tires out gay fans and makes us want to give up/not experience content actually made for us and by "i love it" i mean "i don't think i'm strong enough to do This Fuckshit Again"

ohh man, yeah & i think it’s really telling that only gay fans are being guilt tripped into feeling guilty over the kind of content they want to engage with. like het shippers can completely ignore a character’s bisexuality & only create & consume f/m content, but every time a gay fan wants to talk about a gay ship that has bi character(s) in it we need to write some long a/n about how bi erasure is Bad and how the f/m route of a bi character’s romance is just as valid and good :)

Omg, ROOK!!!  I love this redhead so much, I really do! <3  He’s such a sweetheart in all his incarnations, but I’m particularly bias towards the Fallout version <3

I especially love the relationship dynamic he has with MacCready.  I’ll be honest, Abby had MacCready with her for maybe 15 minutes before she turned the car around and said “Yeah, no, you’re staying in Sanctuary, Mr. Bad Attitude” after he kept bitching about her hacking computers and picking up junk items.  But you have completely changed my opinion of him for the better with the Rook story stuff <3

CONGRATS!! and honestly, I thinks that the most amazing kind of work to top off the big 100 :D

Insomnia Falls, the headline reads, and Ignis feels like he’s falling with it.

He skims the front page; sensationalism, mostly, but the pertinent details are there. The king’s picture is below the fold, and Ignis puts a hand out to steady himself. He breathes deliberately, and the shopclerk throws him a sympathetic glance. Ignis straightens, pays for his paper, and heads back to the room.

All of Galdin Quay is murmuring about it, in hushed tones as if to speak too loudly will bring the Imperials down on them. Ignis pauses outside the hotel door, composing his features. It’s fallen to him to bring the news to the prince; the least he can do for Noctis is deliver the news calmly. Dispassionately.

But when he opens the door he sees the dead king overlaid on Noctis’ face, freshly out of bed and unaware of what the rest of the world already knows, and it’s too much, even for a boy who would one day be king. Ignis should take the news right to his prince, Noctis deserves that much; but Ignis finds himself turning to Gladiolus instead, hands over the paper and lets Gladio read the headline into the stunned silence.

It’s probably kinder this way. Gladio has a heartfelt touch when he’s not posturing, and his shocked disbelief is probably more comforting than Ignis would be.

There is no easy way to break this news, after all. The others respond admirably: Gladio wants more information, Prompto knows that nowhere is safe - but it’s Noctis that Ignis is watching, the decision to go forward or back the first real test he’s had to face.

“Turn back?” Gladio asks, and Ignis waits to see which side his prince will come down on.

“Yeah,” Noctis says after a long moment, heavy with grief and stunned disbelief. He looks down at his hands and Ignis blows out a breath.

The first, but not the last. Ignis can guide as best he can, but the choice ultimately resides with Noct.
