LJS 35 - Manuscript leaves from a canon law text
These two leaves here were used as pastedowns from a manuscript of a canon law text, with glosses, written in Germany in the mid-13th century. The leaves were consecutive and contain text and glosses for selected chapters from the Decretals of Gregory IX. The text is written in a Gothic script, while the commentary in marginal glosses is written in a smaller Gothic script. They were written between 1240 and 1260 CE.
