i know ive said before that hector is cute on how he paid attention to lizzy. maybe bcos the actor playing him is quite charming.

i have a feeling that he is only using lizzy to have some powerful connection and to aid his political agenda. lizzy is bff with nan (the current duchess) who's married to the duke, theo, the current "institution" in this story.

upon rewatching episode 1, hector only paid attention to lizzy when theo approached her during the wedding reception. i thought at first it's an innocent introduction to hector but upon rewatching it you can definitely tell there is some hidden agenda behind his eyes.

in ep 2 instead of pairing up with lizzy during the scavenger hunt, hector intentionally seeks out nan to talk about politics.

while theo and lizzy have fun & cute interactions by the river, deep conversation about love, and being vulnerable with each other.

in ep 3, his line while announcing his engagement with lizzy, "im an ambitious man". very on the nose.

while theo have a jealous outburst/monologue to lizzy on how sensational she is and she can do better than to settle for ordinary.

one striking visual representation is this proposal of hector. you can see the way he grabs lizzy's hand. it's hard, rough, and way too controlling.

if lizzy ends up marrying him, he will be controlling and manipulative (just like most politicians).

in comparison to theo it's more gentle, kind and comforting.

both of these shots are very intentional. the close up to the hands are very telling who is more truthful and has genuine intention towards lizzy.

obviously, im team theo all the way! and my lizzy deserves to have an epic love story.

WARNING: I'VE SEEN THE INTERVIEWS WHERE THE CAST (AUBRI) SPOILS EVERYTHING AND I WILL MENTION THEM.

Judging by this scene, TheoLizzy only planned to have fun. When T says he's falling in love/asks her not to marry H, L isn't happy. It's like he spoiled their fun.

I love how Lizzy is more vulnerable here. Last episode, she tried to be super cool about it, but now she dropped the facade cause she feels safe.

All this talk about an impossible divorce just reaffirms my belief that Nan and Theo will divorce or at least agree on divorcing by the end of s2.

Lizzy doesn't think Nan would forgive her, but I bet she will. After all, Nan doesn't love Theo and is willing to let him live his life. She must know another woman is part of that. However, after learning about Lizzy, she will likely pursue a divorce. She wouldn't want her friend to lose the love of her life because of her. That's friendship, not whatever Guy and Theo had.

Oh, Hector. I'm sorry if the show is committing character assassination. However, I haven't read it, and I'm judging him solely based on his actions on screen. He's clearly more focused on his politics than Lizzy, which is not a bad thing per se, esp when he's advocating for good causes, but it's not what Lizzy wants/needs. Tbh, seems like he's only getting married for status and connections. A gentleman married looks more respectable and his wife helps him portray a good image in Parliament.

Whether Aubri spoiled ep 6 or not, I don't think Lizzy married Hector, not after all THAT speech. Which leads me to believe these two will be separated again.

I bet Lizzy's rejection will bring back Reede feelings of resentment and heartbreak he felt after Blanche's own rejection.

Also, this line! Since Lizzy won't marry Hector, then he won't have an obligation to "protect "look out" for her? Hence why he goes to the newspapers? There's no reason why he would do that if Lizzy married him.

This speech! I love how both times Theo has spoken against Lizzy's engagement have been because he doesn't want her to go through the same pain as he did.

“You know full well.” He said, harshly capturing her wrists. Blue eyes challenging her as Lizzy cowered under his gaze.

Challenging? No.

Begging.

He was opening the door to the unknown, gallantly offering her his hand so she can join him.

As if by a force of nature, she propelled forward, capturing his lips in a kiss that will leave her breathless.

the cinematography in these scenes are so breathtaking.

theo and lizzy are so endgame!!!

i understand why some felt that it's a bit rushed. i think there's a missing scene here between the night theo learned that nan went away to be with guy in italy.

but everything is so intense and fiery with theo and lizzy in this ep so i forgive them for being so fast. we only have 4 ep left so let's move forward people. we need them to be kissing and shagging and arguing.

in ep 3, the cliff hanger, he did ask lizzy where's nan.

theo probably got drunk that night feeling betrayed. his marriage was falling apart and he already asked his mother to leave the castle.

lizzy is quite surprised that theo's in the fundraising event.

the opening scene of ep 4 where he is in bed. he is reflecting how he truly feels about the situation. instead of being sad and mad about it he finds himself overjoyed.

i laughed so hard in this scene. him dancing around and the maid awkwardly caught him. 🤣

guy remmer's surely having a blast shooting that sequence. 😁

finally, he is free. he can breathe again. he was suffocating for the longest time ever since he suspected that guy and nan were together before their wedding.

remember he was missing 3 weeks before lizzy's bday and when he returned he was so adamant to have nan gone and do not want anything with her. theo already fell out of love with nan at this point.

So let's move forward with ep 4. the fund raising event that hector is so passionate about. this is just my speculation on why he is suddenly become so insecure with theo.

aside from the obvious difference in status hector is only a noble and politician while theo is a duke. we learned that blanche (theo's mom) and reede (hector's dad) were former lovers. hector knew about it or discovered it during his youth.

for years, he is trying to raise funds for the school, for charity. putting too much effort in it under his name and suddenly another man will be stealing his thunder (and his fiancé).

hector is a politician after all he wanted that charity to be his spotlight if he wanted to aim for a higher position.

i feel that hector is earnest with his intention for lizzy to be happy but his pride and ego will get a better of him in the long run.

i believe prior to hector's outburst, lizzy is genuinely happy that theo bid for charity. i mean look at her in this moment she was impressed. theo on the other hand being so smug about it 😈.

honoria's so adorable eagerly bidding for that vase and mabel's reaction to it is so funny 🤣. theo giving it to honoria as he should witnessing how she tried so hard to bid for it.

not to be biased or anything, out of all the pairs this season, these two really have that overpowering chemistry.

the producers of this show must have seen their potential during the casting. who can blame them to be honest. the best decision so far is pairing these two together. i only got interested in watching this series because of them.

their tension and intensity of just by looking at each other is something else.

i actually like this conversation with theo and lizzy. by this point, they clearly feel that attraction between them. i believe it started in ep 2 when they were by the river.

lizzy is after all is a good friend. she wanted to check in how's theo doing so far.

theo clearly already moving forward and want something (or someone) else in his life.

i'll be jumping with my speculation about what the dowager's said in ep 3 that theo needs to have an heir.

if you noticed, lizzy is seen wearing a red necklace. i assumed it's ruby and the design is like a teardrop.

she's fidgeting with it. clearly she is nervous around theo. her increasing attraction to him.

there's also a shot where you can clearly see her necklace while they are going at it. i may be reading into it too much but i think this is a hint that lizzy will get pregnant with theo's baby by the end of this season.

there's also this promo for ep 5 posted by appletv where a woman kicking a red ball towards theo. theo looking very happy seeing this woman. the woman is wearing a purple coat and we all know lizzy has been wearing purple this season. it's her color.

theo and Lizzy in many times always been surrounded by green scenery signifying fertility.

a red ball and the ruby teardrop shaped necklace is a clue that their affair will result to having a baby.

nan's definitely going to crash out in the finale.

im so relieved the court case is so over and it was so uncomfortable to watch.

the misogyny and prejudice women had to be subjected back then is so appalling i almost didn't finish this episode.

im glad that conchita and jinny reconcile already and mabel and honoria especially honoria being brave and putting down her foot to that mean mother of hers.

anyway, theo and lizzy scenes as always the only saving grace in this episode. they are giving me all the buzz i need.

i know that ive asked for slowburn, more pining, more yearning and more angst but i cannot imagine being this unbearable. i just want theo and lizzy to be happy together without all the heartaches and drama that other people are putting them into. 😭

i do love a possessive theo in this episode.

i am ascending OMG!!!!

i always find aubri ibrag to be very beautiful even in s1. she's the one that caught my eye and among the girls she is the prettiest for me.

that being said, it's funny for s1 i didnt find guy remmers to be that appealing. im like he looks pretty but not in a way that i would be swooning over him.

but this second season his glow and intensity especially whenever he is paired with aubri and with their scenes together is something else.

i am like where have you been all my life???

their chemistry, tension, eye contact, and proximity is giving me butterflies and so electrifying to me!
