I’ve been debating something for my FNAFTM AU, so what do you think?
Baby kills herself
Baby is possessed by Glitchtrap and Lizzy has to kill her

Honestly, I’m okay with either option. In the one where Baby is possessed, the remnants from Freddy’s that Lizzy could gather were tainted, allowing Glitchtrap to revive once Baby was powered on. I’ve already detailed what happens in the other option.

I’m just so… so mad. About everything. About mom and dad, about Mikey, about what happened to me, about what that bastard did… Whose idea was it to put me on this stupid planet, anyway?!
*She grabs her hair (well, wig) and pulls on it, covering her ears soon after.*
I’m sick of everything! I’m so, so sick of it!! I hate it all so much!
TW for descriptions of scars, robot death, and emotional distress! The idea for Lizzy fixing Baby was inspired by @cat-and-books
A name has been decided on! Based on a tag I came up with on a whim for rp, this AU will be known as the LizzyLives AU!
AU Summary: Lizzy survives the explosion. She’s covered in burn scars and required several skin grafts, very narrowly avoiding losing an eye due to shards of flying debris. She told police that someone had attempted to blow up the building but did not elaborate further, sparing her from being hospitalised like Eggs. One of her hands had to be amputated. The animatronics don’t know she’s alive, and due to threats from Henry, she’s unable to go back.
Lizzy’s physical appearance: Lizzy is almost entirely covered in burn scars. Her right side experienced the most damage as that was the side facing the explosion. A scar on her right cheek just below the eye occurred when a piece of shrapnel embedded itself in her cheek, just barely missing her eye. She has numerous similar scars from other pieces of debris hitting her. Her arm was crushed by falling pieces of the building, requiring an amputation of her right hand in the middle of her forearm. Several parts of her body have been repaired via plastic surgery after chunks of flesh were severely damaged by the explosion. Other than the damage, she still looks relatively similar to how she did. While recovering, she wore a snap button shirt and skirts to help herself with changing. Her hair had been entirely burnt off, the hair follicles burnt away. When working on Baby, she wore a black button-up with the sleeves rolled up and practical pants. She also got a wig that matched her original hair colour, though she only really wore it when she was out. She wore a polo with the company name on it and simple slacks when she worked IT. During Night 4, she wore a silk button down and matching pants, and during Night 5 she wore a magenta turtleneck sweater and black leggings.
How did she survive?: Lizzy survived almost by sheer luck. The room the bomb was in happened to be across the building from where she was, allowing her more leeway. Most of the damage done to her was due to the fire that started after the bomb went off and the debris that became of the building as it collapsed. The room she was in also happened to be mostly open (due to CB and the car), so that gave her an exit. She was halfway out of the building when the bomb went off. Her right arm and both legs were pinned by falling debris, leaving her with no choice but to try and pull herself out as the flames roared around her at all sides. The fire did massive damage, catching her hair and clothes, but she was too determined to let herself die. She managed to pull her left leg out and, luckily finding it unbroken, freed her right leg soon after. Her arm was much trickier, and freeing it caused tons of damage to her skin and muscles. She had to crawl out of the establishment, her clothes, hair, and skin ablaze. The fire department had to put her out. She was quickly rushed to hospital and immediately went into surgery. After hours, they managed to get her in a position where she could live long enough for them to do more. The next few months were spent trying to salvage what they could from her. Skin grafts, plastic surgery, reconstructive surgeries, amputation of her right hand, and several more minor repairs were needed. Lizzy survived purely by being strong. In the end, the doctors’ work paid off, and Lizzy would be able to live a normal life once more. She also made herself a prosthetic using her technological skills. She picked up odd jobs to make rent.
Lizzy’s mental state: Lizzy is actually doing pretty well for herself, all things considered. She isn’t quite as chipper as she used to be, but she’s still decently optimistic about things. After all, there’s no way anything that bad could happen to her again. That doesn’t mean she’s untraumatised, though. She still has nightmares about everything that happened at Freddy’s and lives in fear that someone (Glitchtrap) may have survived and might still be hunting her down. She also feels horribly guilty about attacking Baby and not saving her from the explosion and is determined to try saving her. In her own words, “I still don’t know if I can fix you… but I have to try.”
Baby: When Lizzy returned to the restaurant, there wasn’t much of Baby left. Her body, which had already been damaged after Lizzy attacked her, was blown to pieces. All that was really left was scraps. Lizzy gathered what she could from the rubble (pieces of her face, some circuits and wiring, one intact arm and a few very melted pieces of plastic) and returned home. She tried to make something that looked even close to her from what she had, but it wasn’t enough. She’d have to do more. She started gathering anything she could- scrap metal, copper wires from old electronics, insulation and fabric… basically anything she could get her hands on. She was able to successfully create a new body for her after two years, but there was the difficulty of actually making her function. That took almost another year of tinkering and work, but in 1991, she was able to turn Baby on and actually get her to respond. However, an issue arose. Some of the metal and circuit boards Lizzy had recovered from Freddy’s had contained Glitchtrap. When she powered on Baby, he immediately took control and began mocking her before trying to kill her. She managed to overpower Babytrap (as I will be calling it) and beat it to death with her office chair. Glitchtrap spent this time using Baby’s voice to beg Lizzy to stop, just to torture her.
Post Baby: Lizzy was absolutely heartbroken. She wanted to try again, but she couldn’t risk it. Lizzy spent the next couple of years alone, getting a job working IT at an office building near her apartment in 1992. She dealt with a spiral of depression for a while, driven by grief and guilt. Though she wanted therapy, she knew better than to tell anyone about what had happened and she wasn’t about to make a therapy AI like her uncle. She had to recover on her own.
1995: In 1995, Lizzy was actually doing alright. She’d managed to recover from Baby’s death and heard about the positions at Freddy’s. She refused to take the job for obvious reasons. But during Night 4, she caught wind of the chaos and, worrying it might be Glitchtrap in some form, decided to sneak into the building. She was obviously rather confused by the lack of animatronics but (due to not using the main entrance) avoided seeing BB’s head. When Nate and Mark came back, the animatronics were absolutely thrilled to see her. Through Night 5, her main job was using her technical skills to keep Springtrap distracted via audio lures and the lights. Nate and Mark also showed her what happened to BB which obviously devastated her. This fuelled her to help them defeat Springtrap. She did her job well, but it was all in vain. The rest of Night 5 proceeded as normal until Phone Guy/Henry Emily/William Afton/Scott Cawthon/MatPat burst through the wall. She recognised him immediately, as did he recognise her. A tense conversation ensued before he listed off all his identities, you know where things go from there. As soon as the building started burning, however, Lizzy began to panic. Her mind sent her right back to where she’d been seven years earlier as the heat rose. Nate had to drag her out of the building, and even then she cried.
Day 6: Lizzy went with Nate, Mark, and the animatronics to LA. She took a job working IT at a new company, finding it to be an actually stable position. She also ended up seeking therapy for the death of her brother. Nate told her that Phone Guy called but told her it was nothing to worry about. She ended up repairing BB and keeping him in her apartment, and they all decided to visit the animatronics regularly.
