Sebastian’s gaze moved to the side when she spoke to him. Did he love her? No. How could he? After all, she was the one who put him in the box and left him there, she ruined him. It was all her fault that his Cassandra was gone, probably long dead by now. Finally he looked her straight in the eye, his eyes cold and devoid of any emotion. “No, I do not love you.”

        people around are pairing up as the countdown to the new year starts, & ben watches them with a small smile on his face. he’s happy for his friends, he truly is. looking around, he spots mal standing by the snack table by herself, & without a second thought he walks to her.   “ not going to kiss anyone at midnight? ”   he asks playfully as there are only twenty seconds left to the countdown, leaning against the table. their eyes meet momentarily as he glances at her, & the thought of kissing her crosses his mind before he quickly dismisses it. no, it will probably be weird. too weird.

        ben smiles at her as their eyes meet again as the crowd around them shouts five, & he’s too caught up in his thoughts on whether or not he should kiss her anyway when suddenly he’s being pulled down into a kiss. while everyone is cheering around them, all he can focus on is mal, on how soft the kiss is, & on how he doesn’t want it to end — but the kiss ends as soon as it has started, & it takes him a moment to realise that.

noelani furrowed her brows as she read the new notification. she was relatively certain that saying such a thing to any fae was not only incredibly insulting but dangerous. not so much because mal was a danger, but because many of the folktales she had heard informed her that they relied upon the belief of others to live. noelani’s brow remained furrowed as she hit accept, camera turned somewhat to record herself pouting,    “    why  is  it  all  my  dares  are  to  insult  people ?  this  hurts  them  more  than  it  hurts  me.    ”    noelani chastised as she sought out the purple fae child.

    “    mal ?    ”    noelani asked, tapping the girl on the shoulder. she smiled once she was face to face with her and resisted the urge to apologize,    “    i  don’t  believe  in  fai  —  oop  .  .  .  you.  i  don’t  believe  in  you.    ”
