keep thinking abt the mottled skarrs... why aren't they haunted? what's up with their unique patterning? are they sick? is it related to their haunting immunity? why does the curveclaw room skarr upgrade it to the curvesickle? does it know the trader skarr? does it just respect hornet's skill? their needolin dialogue, "Our mark is no curse…", is that referring to the mottling? are the curveclaw skarr and the trader skarr both outcasts, like gurr? is that why the trader skarr is killed? or were they killed because they were unhaunted? is the mottling from birth, or caused by something else? by other skarr?

the craw jurors' headpiece has the same visual as the gate into sinner's road, and is similar to the dreg catcher implements. a general greymoor* motif? did it start with the craws and then was taken and reused by the citadel later on? hmm

#voices from the deep sea #beast crest spooked me off using it at first bc of its atrocious downswing #but. for a second playthrough .. it WOULD be fun for certain bosses #livebugging #<- i said i would use that tag and then never did <3 i forgor

i haven't been expecting the grimm troupe to come back, but there's a suspicious amount of grimm-adjacent threads in silksong. everything going on with wisp thicket & father of the flame is just grimm troupe-y enough to set off alarm bells. fire worshippers with a focus on impermanence? hmm! and trobbio is adjacently grimm troupe-ish, too, but that's a whole other can of worms... the red memory quest though?? we literally have to collect Hearts to enter hornet's [red tinged, heartbeat sfx] memory. the freeze frame of the cinematic is straight up the same red as NKG's intro card.

no matter if silksong takes place after dream no more or embrace the void, the radiance and the dream realm are toast. makes sense hornet would have to access her own memories via the nightmare instead. but still, everything else? it's weird how often it pops up

anyway if the grimm troupe shows up later as dlc again. i called it
