I think the important stuff has been said already. Friends you lose over moving in with someone are probably not friends worth keeping to begin with. So don’t beat yourself up about it.

He won’t. He’ll lose people who claim to be friends but actually just want to make him do what they want. His true friends won’t care as long you don’t hurt him.
They ARE his friends, and every time he goes out with them he has a good time and the night always, ALWAYS ends with 'we should do this more often'... and then that's it. Nothing unless he pesters them again and again and again. They're just really shit at remembering things. They're not actively shoehorning him out because of me, I just think it's a side effect of him moving in with me.

But why would his friends being stupid have anything to do with you? Do they actively dislike you?
Depends on how paranoid I'm feeling. I'm fairly certain they don't have a rpoblem with me, but then again, I'm used to people absolutely having a problem with me but not saying anything so it doesn't destroy the group dynamic.
