It's Adopt a Shelter Pet Day…and I'm here to tell you that adopting a shelter pet can be like saving them from their own tiny dystopia…that it can make your dark future a little lighter. If you're not some kind of hero on the run, dodging danger, you should go save some animal's world.

Remember…Kitty: She’s proof that I grew as a person during and after my teen years. It’s been years since Katja and I agreed on Kitty…And I happen to know that some of you are with me. So, obviously, I have to include her mood board and playlist (click!) in this trip down Peace Fire memory lane.

Solstice aside, the start of December always feels like WINTER IS HERE, which makes me start planning how to stay warm and cosy, how to find comfort in the cold times. Books and blankets are my go-to tools for that, with maybe more hot cocoa than usual. How do YOU stay warm and/or cosy through the cold and dark? Maybe it's things for physical warmth, or treats you save for or associate with winter, or ways you keep your spirits up, or things you look forward to that you only get with winter... (Though you southern hemisphere folks can talk about staying cool in the summer...I'm globally friendly! Heh!)
