One more contract to read. Ian's desk was surrounded by multicolored papers. Three pens were scattered around the table as he bent down slightly to check a map that was wide opened at the center of glassy table. It was just a map of the town. Ravensdale's company was planning to buy a new terrain to start constructing a new building. Why? There wasn't an answer for that already. That was exactly why Ian still needed to grab these contacts to read them closely, so he could decide the company's move. It was just a task that his father gave him. Not that he could signs them already because he still wasn't done with college, but a couple more months and he would be free to do whatever he wanted in this company. His patrimony. Raising his blue eyes to the small clock on the side of the table, the young man realized that it was already late. A quarter past ten. Nova was probably waiting for him at home. Placing down the black pen he was holing, Ian straightened his back as he collected the different papers on the table and stacked them in the right way, picking up his black briefcase to place them inside. Tomorrow was another day and he would take a couple of hours in the morning to look at them. For now, Ian wanted to spend some time with his girlfriend. It only seemed fair when he was spending so much time at work and at college. And you miss her. His inner voice reminded him and Ian smiled lightly at the thought. Of course he missed her. The young man didn't know what he did to deserve a sweet angel like his Nova, but he wasn't going to complain about it.
The traffic wasn't the worst at this time of the night, so it only took Ian a couple of minutes for him to arrive at their apartment. Holding this briefcase and his car keys with his right hand, the young man turned the key with his left hand as he pushed the door open with his elbow. There was music inside. The corner of his lips just curved into a genuine smile before he walked in, closing the door behind him and placing the briefcase and the keys on the table besides the door, just resting his back against the cold wood. It really felt like peace. The sanctuary that he once lost in England was now here, with Nova. Every time he was welcomed with her music was like a wave of happiness was chasing his dark soul, offering him a way out from his darkness. He didn't need to hear her voice to be a happy man. All Ian really needed was to listen to her delicate and talented fingers on the piano keys, creating magic for him and for anyone who was listening to her. With the same smile on his lips, the dark haired man stepped away from the front foor, walking toward the room that he had designed to be her space in their small apartment. The room were her creativity and her imagination were holding hands. It was just perfect. Not wanting to interrupt her, Ian walked into the room quietly, listening to her melody as he stayed at the doorway, crossing his arms over his chest in a relaxed position, waiting for the moment Nova would feel he was there with her.
