A book was lying down right on a snoozing rodent's lap, as the chipmunk was resting away on the couch, apparently dozing off the other night from reading his favorite detective series, Surelock Holmes. Chip's fedora was tilted at an angle to cover his eyes, and his ears closed to block any noisy disturbances.

The silver hedgie stopped as he sensed the chipmunk's approach. He quickly turned around to address him. "Oh, um..." He cleared his throat, hoping to make a good first impression with whomever this was. "Hello..."
Actually...now that he'd gotten a better look at the munk, he appeared to match the exact description of a certain someone his former 'landlord' spoke of on many occasions.
"Oh! You're...Chip, right? Er, Dale's Chip?"
Oh, Chaos, he knew knowing two entirely different beings named Chip would get confusing eventually...
Chip and the way he is.
Chip is a stubborn, serious, sometimes even humorless, but well meaning and dedicated chipmunk. While others say that he doesn't know how to have fun, he really does have a sense of humor. The somewhat workaholic chipmunk won't stop at doing his job until he is positive that things have been completely settled. As a result, he is completely dedicated and stands by for justice and his work to the point where he causes his own stress and worries by overthinking even the simplistic thoughts. In a way, he is his own enemy at times. That's more or less the reason why he's tense or edgy most of the time. Dale is often the only thing that can bring Chip down from his worries and overthinking of things regarding the wellness of New York City, and can coax him into calming down and letting his stresses go by some breathes of fresh air. While the carefree chipmunk gets on his nerves quite often, his soft demeanor and cute smile gives Chip a warm feeling that wells up inside of him, slowly revealing his own soft and relaxed side.
