                    ❛   this  has  has  been  building  since  i  have  been  breathing. ❜   though  breathing  was  an  optional  activity  for  the  being,  they  used  the  word  in  order  to  seem  more  ALIVE.  their  words  drew  back  slightly,  fear  beginning  to  trickle  at  the  prospect  of  what  they  have  seen  in  the  future.  ❛   &  i  know  how  it’s  going  to  end. ❜

          THE  PRIESTESS   HAD   GRUMBLED   A   SLIGHT       hesitation as to what the fellow warrior was even doing ————       claiming she was too busy to stop during her rounds of evaluation.       but of  course  she’s  ❛ SHH !! ❜ ed  in  the  meantime,  long  ears       twitching  a  wordless  rebuttal  before  lovely ｇｏｌｄ &. ｒｅｄ       blooms adorn atop that waterfall of curls -— finished with a small       embrace —— !!  she remained wordless, blushing a soft hue of       rose beneath those high cheek - bones.   ＭＭＰＨ,  but  no  one       could erase that small smile at the corners of her lips.

         She does not know how to make her feel better. Mantis can only ease someone into contentment for a short period of time, and even then that generally involved sleeping. Mantis is fairly certain that will not fix Riley’s problem. Instead, she gets her a gift. Fresh fruit always made Mantis happy-- as did gifts. 

         Mantis is concerned when she sees her watery eyes. Tears frightened her--- but she held the fruit out to her, trying to smile as kindly as she could. She didn’t know what was wrong, but Mantis would very much like to at least give her a spark of joy. 

                           “It is a called a grummawan-- you peal the blue skin back until you see the red insides. It is a sweet fruit. I thought you... might like it.” Mantis’ head tilts slightly, as if she’s lost in thought. After a moment, she sits down next to the girl.
