Liam dying tragically, possibly horrifically as a kid, and his figment haunting Noel as he grows. Noel isn't sure if he's mad or if there's really a spirit, but does it matter? It all serves the same purpose, which is to torture him endlessly. This little figment of Liam is a damn devil too, always trying to live vicariously through him. "What's this funny powder, Noely? Well, I think you oughta to give us another go then, got to do two lines, yeah? One for me and one for you."
Liam wishes he could be a rockstar too and he whines about it constantly; stomping his feet. He darts down the streets, behind bushes and lamppost, always giggling and just out of view when Noel is trying to focus on something. He's always in the crowd at Noel's shows, always in his damn house, at the afterparties mucking about. He begs Noel to tell people about him, because he hates being dead, and he wants to grow up. It just isn't fair.
Noel is sorry. He's so fucking sorry. He'd kill himself a million times over if it meant having Liam here instead of him. "But I am here, Noely. Why are you lookin' at me like that? I've got nowhere else to go, see. No where but right here, with you, ya know what I mean?" Noel drugs himself up silly about his hallucinations but he still leaves tea cups and biscuits out for Liam. Sometimes it even looks like they've been moved around a bit. Strange world, isn't it?
