the problem with being a villainfucker and then writing original fiction is that you will end up in love with your own villain. which is not necessarily a problem but I'm not talking, like, "ooh you're so evil it's fun and I'm cackling about it" kind of way, I'm talking about an "oh no my precious baby angel you're awful and I love you, let me swaddle you in a blanket like a cat that needs its claws trimmed, I want you to have nice things"

hate how susceptible I am to a well constructed argument. I can have an opinion that I feel relatively certain of and then I'll read someone really articulately and cogently defending a different one and be like. but maybe I'm just wrong.

funny to me the number of relationships in fandoms where the arc of my experience has been something like "generally I prefer this sibling (or sibling-esque) relationship as platonic though I can see where the shippers are coming from" downward to "you know, the shippers are really onto something, actually"

was going to be irritable like "where is this ship I personally don't like coming from, it's built on crumbs and scraps and hypotheticals" and then I had to stop, look at myself, and go.
