Are there any cheap stones that have fire like a diamond does?
Short answer: NoLonger answer: You can get âcheapâ or you can get âlooks like a diamondâ.  Moissanite is probably going to be your best bet for the price vs fire ratio, but itâs still got a higher price tag than cubic zirconium or created white sapphire. There are also these new âsynthetic diamondsâ on the market but I donât know anything about them except that the brightly colored ones are cheaper to produce than the white ones â and if youâre going for a brightly colored stone you might as well go right back to the created sapphires. So basically it depends on what you consider âcheapâ. A brief google suggested to me that the average price for a 1 carat diamond might be somewhere around $1500, but a 1 carat moissanite is going to be like $300.  Expect CZs and created white sapphires to be decidedly less than that.Â
