Knockturn Alley had a sort if rosy hue as Pat turned the corner that split off from Diagon. The velvety-black work robes nearly touched the beaten cobbled path; they hadn’t had time to go home after their shift, but Pat appreciated the irony of donning their Slug & Jigger’s uniform to an apothecary bar. They were quite fond of Verdant despite its similarity to Pat’s workplace; it had the best of fragrant herbs without the jars of pickling organs.
After a visit to the counter, Pat found a spot alongside an enormous plant that appeared to be an overgrown sunflower, only speckled with purple and red. Verdant wasn’t the most crowded Pat had seen it, but they wanted to make theirself perfectly visible for their mirror date. Pat took a sip off the top of their ‘Invigoration Draught’, which was really just a fernet and ginger cocktail - a personal favorite. They’d had a handful of these blind dates since acquiring the mirror. Some ended with a rough tousle, but that was only a bonus for Pat. Simply getting to know someone they might not have met otherwise was the part they liked best.
