“Yes...yes, yes, yes. Of course. Of course. Yeah. Okay, bye then.” Theo sighed and took his head out of the fire, ending his Floo chat. He turned back to attention to the person in front of him, across the table. “Sorry for that,” he smiled, but looked down again, studying his fingers closely in an absent, distracted manner.
“One scoop o’ wha’ again? Sorry, I wasn’ payin’ attention, ‘s me fault. Wha’ flavour did ye say I can get ye?” Seamus looked up, genuinely confused and apologetic He was just tired and his thoughts were very occupied already.
“I just had the craziest day.”

“Oh, uhh- It’s kind of a long story.” Sophie spoke up anxiously replying to the stranger asking if she was okay. She was just having her break at Infusion Tea and had time to think about her day.
The pain of every bone in her body snapping, breaking and clicking back into place as her body pulled itself apart and morphed into a new one was bad but the feeling the morning after was ten times worse. Music blared into her headphones from the walkman on her hip, blocking out the rest of the world, as Lavender Brown stared at nothing in particular, looking completely numb and feeling the exact opposite.
The London Underground should have been safe. It felt sacred. It was the only place she was sure no wizards or witches would find their way too and recognise her scarred face. But these days Lavender’s luck was pure shite so of course her eyes would lift up from their fixed point on the ground to find the other Hogwarts alumni. A hand went to move one side of her headphones away from her ear. Misery was as deeply etched into her face as her scars, no hint of a smile teasing her lips.
“Oh. It’s you. Hey.”
“You’ll never believe what some guy’s kid did. He apparently got happy enough to make a trash can grow legs, and it just ran down the street. I’m surprised only three people saw it.”
