@Regrann from @negusnetwork - The word "chakra" is commonly thought of as Indian and referring to the centers of power within the body. However, it originates from the Kushite-Kemetic term Sekhemra. The word "sekhem" means power-center, authority, etc, (and is the root of the name of the lionness Sekhmet who was a form of Het-Heru). The word Ra refers to the lifeforce (symbolized by the light of the sun but is not the actual sun). Thus, Sekhemra refers to the power of the lifeforce. It was an important concept and often a name, such as that of the 18th-century bce pharaoh named Sekhemra. As Kemet's influence permeated Asia, the concept of Sekhemra became Chakra in India.
