My rare pair for this boy is: Harespring x Lionblaze. All I can say is sorry but I'm gonna keep calling him Harespring cause I keep forgetting he's leader :') Also, this is canon in most of my AUs (not this one, since Lion and Cinder are together), but will only be touched upon in my PO3 AU.

- Harepaw saw Lionpaw first at a Gathering, speaking with Heatherpaw. He was pretty blown away by how handsome he was. He never mustered up the guts to talk to him, though.

- Harepaw often volunteered to patrol the ThunderClan border to see Lion, but they never met each other.

- It wasn't until many moons later that Harespring finally talked to him at a Gathering, not long after the Great Storm. He told Lionblaze he was very sorry for the loss of Dustpelt and Seedpaw. WindClan didn't lose as many warriors, and that makes his gut twist with guilt.

- Lionblaze takes a liking to the sort of jumpy WindClan cat (though he's only like that around Lion). He thanks Hare for his condolences, and they begin hanging out at Gatherings.

- Lionblaze and Harespring never meet at borders, at the island, or sneak into each other's camp, Lionblaze is too loyal to his Clan to act all that out. Instead, they just meet at Gatherings or when one of them visits each other's camp on a patrol. It was pretty obvious to Holly and Jay what was going on, but they didn't intervene, as they saw it as nothing but harmless crushes.

- Harespring definitely loved Lionblaze more than Lionblaze loved him, but he was sort of okay with that. He just liked being around Lion as much as he could, even though he knew it wasn't leading anywhere.

What made you ship it? I think it's funny that it's super easy to read between the lines of the whole Pinestar leaving thing to be "oh he's going to be boyfriends with Jake."

What are your favorite things about the ship? Jake keeps winning. Big tabby boyfriend was one of the things he was missing on the bisexual bingo card. Also very funny in a FireTiger context since this means their dads dated.

Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship? I think a lot of the interconnectedness they introduced in Bluestar's Prophesy is stupid and unnecessary, but this one is funny enough that I let it slide.

Why don’t you ship it? A little too random of a pull for me. Hard for me to think of how they'd interact.

What would have made you like it? If BreezeLion and BreezeHare were more established I could like this as like... either a throuple sort of thing or a "stealing your man out of spite" thing.

Despite not shipping it, do you have anything positive to say about it? It's nice, uh... aesthetically? Like, big muscular tom on lithe slender tom is good. And I mean I do love Harestar in most contexts; he's one of my favorites. I guess it's a good LionBreeze substitute if you want him with a WindClan tom without any amount of incest.

Why don’t you ship it? I've just never thought about these two together at all.

What would have made you like it? If Berrynose caused more trouble with ShadowClan cats to give the two of them more reason to interact and to... tussle.
