“Tuned specifically to your charge. They should ground you without weakening your attack.” me, spending a lot of time with @pulitzerpanther trying to figure out how miss lint’s power works and eventually coming to the she has to have some kind of specific charge and it’s right there in the fucking second episode the entire fucking time. well, fine.
but - like - i’ve talked about this on my personal a bit and i’ll probably see if i can find that post and reblog it here for y’all’s reference - but miss lint has a constant charge. and she’s not grounded. there’s a lot of ways that can go really really badly. and because it’s not grounded she doesn’t have exact control of it. which may be what the gloves are for in that flashback - we don’t see her wearing gloves at any other time during the series (that i can remember), and her hands are typically where her lightning comes from (although we also see her send jolts through her boots when she breaks derek’s bike and through her chest when she reflects the taser’s energy back at it). but gloves as a neutralizer to help her control her power like elsa uses gloves in frozen to help her control her power only a little less effective maybe.
