Mythkin or fictionkin?
I've seen some beings make the mistake of confusing them before, so I'll explain these two terms and their similarities/differences!
A mythkin (or kinmyth) involontarily identifies as a character/creature/animal/ect from a myth on the non-physical plane (or on the physical plane for physical non-humans)
A fictionkin involontarily identifies as a character/creature/animal/etc from a fiction on the non-physical plane (or on the physical plane for physical non-humans)
It is true that these definitions are similar in every way, except for the origin of the type.
The type a mythkin's type comes from a myth, a fictionkin's type comes from a fiction. And a myth and a fiction are not the same thing ¯\_(ツ)_/¯...
A myth is a structured (and often ancient) way of thinking that humans have imagined to explain the world around them. Each mythology has characters/animals/creatures/deities/or forces of nature/etc that symbolize different things. (I hope this is understandable 😅)
A fiction is an entire imaginary universe (sometimes inspired by reality) serving as a setting for a story told in a book, a series, a video game, etc. The characters/animals/creatures/etc are here to make the world more alive.
