LinkedIn Profile URL and Job Title (New Feature!)
For self-service developers, we can only access to 2 LinkedIn APIs, which are:

Unless you're a LinkedIn Partner with the access to the Enterprise Products, we cannot even get the profile url or job title of an user.
Please do not apply to a partner program like the Marketing Developer Platform if you are seeking access to member profile data that is not made available via the new “Lite Profile” permission. Access to partner programs is appropriate for select use cases only, and all other requests for access will be rejected.
Normally, we can use web scrapper to get the LinkedIn profile url, job title and more, but it's a bit risky to be banned by LinkedIn (solution: create a dummy account).
I don't like to access the data LinkedIn doesn't allow me, but I wanted to get the url to link back to correct LinkedIn Profile, which actually directing the traffic back to LinkedIn.
My best option is through google or bing, or any web search engine, which can kind of getting the url without 100% accuracy. Something like:
site:linkedin.com {query}

LinkedIn has examined the value of offering an open API to all developers, and found said program not to be in the company’s best interest. The professional network announced today that it would be restricting broad API use to approved partners only, and restricting open API use to a few simple use cases, including these specified by LinkedIn itself:

Conversations of a startup: Mediaspot.me
Co-founder Stavros Rougas let me in on an insider sneak peek of MediaSpot – a website for experts and journalists to connect. You can search MediaSpot’s database of experts by topic or skill, and while it’s still in its prototype stages, I already got some results for a quick skill/topic search on “cooking”. I hope to see him scale this model through an API call to search LinkedIn profiles by keywords.

The project’s similar to instantfounder.com – a co-founder matchmaking service. One of its developers tells me the instantfounder.com project is no longer active, which is a shame because I think they could leverage the network effect if they try seeding their initial community with LinkedIn or matchfounders.com feeds.
