Storage Boxes with Linen Dynasty 18, reign of Hatshepsut (ca. 1479-1458 B.C.) From the tomb of Ramose and Hatnofer, Sheikh Abd el-Qurna, Thebes These two whitewashed boxes originally held lengths of linen ๐ช๐ก๐๐ณ โpAk.tโ, many of which bear the mark of the treasury, indicating that they came from the royal stores. The boxes were closed by winding a string around the two knobs (one on the tront of the box, the other on the lid.
