Paul being asked why he got married….

Could Linda’s pretty and wistful ballad ‘Endless Days’ be a lighthearted, if slightly pointed, answer song to Paul’s ‘No More Lonely Nights’? And to his other songs of longing for someone from his past to contact him?

Asked by author Lesley Ann Jones about Jane and whether Paul still thinks about her, whether there were still thoughts and regrets unresolved, Linda replied phlegmatically:

“He writes about what he writes about. He’s got to have levels inside him where I don’t fit, just as I have where he doesn’t.”

She'd be 80 today and I'm sad that we can't celebrate this together with her. I'm sure it would be a day of joy and laughter.
