The forms in which nature takes never ceases to amaze me. What’s more queer is how humans learn to tell apart and process these forms. With the knowledge available from our predecessors, we are given the ability to classify these forms into various categories without having to deal with the shock of “what is it? why does it look so weird?” Imagine seeing a giraffe for the first time in your life without ever learning about it. You’d freak out and start making up several possibilities of being eaten alive by the giraffe because unbeknownst to you, giraffes are herbivores. Imagine never learning ANYTHING at all about nature, the amount of uncertainty one has to live with would be so overwhelming to the point where one might die from stress. (may be exaggerating but yeah you get the point) I think this is one of the reasons why humans had shorter life spans once upon a time.
