The BFL Gator Division Season Opener was a great tournament. Got on solid fish from the get go and essentially caught fish all day, in two very small specific spots. Couldn't get the big bite, but still finished in the money. 2017 is starting off to be an awesome year. Even went full Ike into a floating island that had blown into one of my boat trails. So my last trip on the water for 2016 was a pretty good day, especially with this cold snap that set in. 25+ MPH winds and we started in 49* air temps. Add the lake temps dropped about 8* overnight so this had the potential for being a disaster. Fortunately it was not. Had a great day on the water and my last big fish of 2016 was the second largest of the year. She had the head of an 8 pounder, but she had lost some baby weight during the last full moon 😉.
