A B O U T tw: abortion mention

he’s a local. been here since he was born, and only left for college. his family is very steady on the middle class, didn’t have much of a hardship growing up and even inherited the old family car when he turned 17. 

he has a sister that’s one year older than him, but he hasn’t seen her in almost ten years. she turned eighteen and left town to never go back, which left him as the sole child of a family that put too many expectations on their children. 

eddie had always been a good kid, barely ever got in big trouble. he went through the rites of passage, being caught drunk (multiple times), crashed the car (barely made a scratch), aside from getting caught inside of it with a girl (neither of them had their tops on). his sister went through all of these, and more. way more. 

after eddie’s sister left home, all his parents’ hopes and dreams were placed onto him. his father wanted him to be a doctor, so he said goodbye to his dreams of star athlete or music star (his two hobbies), and ended up going to the best college they could afford. 

it was alright by eddie. he made friends easily, and of course didn’t take long before he found a girlfriend- the cutest girl he had ever seen, but perhaps the craziest one - and he fell head over heels for her. 

by sophomore year, they had been together for about eight months, when she came to his dorm on a thursday night with her eyes red and swollen. she was pregnant. it took eddie by surprise, because he was sure he had been careful every single time, but told her he would be there. he was scared to death, but he had been well educated, and even after a couple days the idea of being a father felt... compelling. even exciting. 

*tw* this girl disappeared for three days only to call him early morning to pick her up at planned parenthood. eddie drove as fast as he could- thought something bad had happened, but when he finally asked she simply said she got rid of it. “what?” “you heard me.” he let it happen. it was her choice after all, but a part of him was mourning something, but he wasn’t going to let it come between them. 

a couple months later, he found out about her cheating on him during more than half of their relationship, the pregnancy probably being this guy’s doing. it had to be, but he didn’t reproach it. he simply broke up with her. she made a scandal, yelled, cried and by the end of the week she had started a rumor about him forcing her to have an abortion. *tw over*

eddie’s life in college completely changed. he was stared at in the hallways, even teachers had somehow taken a stand against him no matter how hard he tried to deny it and tell the truth. he didn’t bother to finish the semester- packed all his stuff and drove back home. 

he became the family’s disappointment. specially because he didn’t care to explain what had actually happened. they were far too conservative and religious to even touch those subjects. he simply said it was not for him, and he would find a job in town. 

eddie has worked in every single business in town in the past eight years. but somewhere about three years ago, he decided to use what he had learned in med school for something, and took several courses to become a paramedic. he decided it was not too bad of a future to help people after all, and he found driving the ambulance pretty damn fun. 

he lives by himself with his dog- an old schnauzer that whines and barks way more than eddie speaks to him. but it’s okay. he fills up the empty space most of the time.

high school and life long friends. friends of his sister. hook ups, flings and exes from the past  hook ups, flings and people he flirts with nowadays. friends from the hospital people he sees at the hospital way too much his partner in the ambulance- basically best pal nowadays. little sibling-esque kind of connection and many more...... 

i don’t know much about him, we’ll figure him out as we go, just wanted to give a couple plot points. [ tw family death ]

♚        native to centralia, he’s been in and out way too many times to count. he never tells anyone, he simply disappears and nobody knows where he’s at, and then he’s back one morning getting his coffee with the rest of the people.

♚        he had 3 older siblings, but they all died in a car accident with his parents when arthur was like five years old. he had been with his grandparents while they all went to some kind of football game of one of the kids- he was always too stubborn and misbehaved for those trips. 

♚        when they all passed, arthur stayed under the care of his grandma, who he loved dearly, but as arthur grew older and required more attention, the woman found a passion for gambling and mimosas, so arthur had to deal by himself.

♚        he was like thirteen the first time he realized he could con someone just with his mouth. he was a talker, and he had really good verbal skills, so when he got fifty dollars out of an old recorder that was worth less than twenty, he got hooked. 

♚        to this day, he lives off of conning people, and stuff he does here and there outside of the city. 

♚        he’s been married before, but he made sure he got married to a rich cheating girl, so he could catch her and get a good pension out of it because adultery. he’s very fucking smart and will use anything in his favor. 

♚        very very charming, will try to get you hooked into some kind of pyramid scheme if he can. you don’t know how he gets you until he does. 

♚        his grandma is still alive, and she’s still addicted to gambling and playing old people games. she does a friend card game reunion. she’s also kind of con artist herself, ngl. but arthur steals from her. idk it’s toxic. but it works.

A B O U T CW: SHORT MENTION OF TRANSPHOBIA, FAMILY DEATH.

✿         she was born near portland, maine, in a small small town- pretty much a village where everybody knew everybody, and the worst thing that could happen was to have other families talk about yours.

✿         her parents are conservative shit.

✿         she had it clear that she had been born with the wrong body at about three years old, but it did not become official until she started middle school and became much more aware of all the things she could do to feel better about herself. she bought clothes in secret, would change in the school bathroom, steal her mother’s makeup, etc.

✿         she came out as trans when she was about thirteen, where she was sent to therapy to try and ‘correct’ that but it never worked. about a year later, her grandma, who she had only seen once and heard of about three times in her life, showed up at her door and demanded the beck child to be handed to her because the way she was being treated was not fair.

✿         turns out her grandma had been a hippie before being hippie was cool. she was open minded, a total feminist, and the best that could have happened to her. hence why she took inspiration from her name, ariadnne, to take hers, making it aria.

✿         she moved to new york with her grandma, where she learned everything she had to about life as a woman, and took a liking for fashion and attention. she loved being the center of attention as a girl, which is where she got her style from. lots of platform shoes, lots of pink and neon colors, and funky makeup and hairdye.

✿         sadly, ariadnne died right after aria’s 19th birthday. she left her small city house and everything she owned to aria, but keeping up with rent and services with small jobs she could find without having gone to college became really hard, so it was clear new york was not the place for her. she was constantly overwhelmed. she needed something smaller and much more... interesting to her. 

✿         after a little research, she heard of centralia. the mystery of the town called for her, it was a no brainer. she made the decision, sold her grandma’s apartment and bought a small two story place in centralia. she made a home upstairs, while the bottom is a beauty salon, where she continues her passion to help people be the best version of themselves. 

P E R S O N A L I T Y

she’s always high on something. mainly weed. it’s her natural state.

she’s basically cassie from skins but dress her in pink.

she picks up lots of plants and flowers and makes bracelets and stuff out of them to give away to people.

she loves to make things. letters, ceramic, etc. people used to ask her to make gifts for people in high school and it was her first business and source of income. hence her job at cupids.

very dreamy, very airy and nothing really matters.

she’s very on edge when she’s not high though, and will not stop talking if something bothers her. but this is rare, so she’s always chill as fuck.

she loves everyone. falls in love with everyone. will kiss everyone. spread the word of true love and companionship.

he was born in chile, where he spent his childhood at, but of that he remembers very little. him and his family migrated to the united states when he was six, jumping on trains and in the back of several trucks, risking it all for a better life.

it was a very tedious, very long, and eventually the saddest trip of them all, because after an accident trying to get on a train in mexico, his mother fell and died pretty much on the spot. him and his father continued on the journey, but after that, things got twisted for river.

he didn’t know english when he got there, first starting in houston, texas, and a few years later moving up north. he was very fast to learn the language though, and he loves to mix it up.

his father started very low, but little by little he managed to get his way around, creating his own cleaning business for big spaces like gyms, shopping malls, schools, etc.

growing up on his own in a new country was hard for river, and his father could not give him the attention he needed. considering he was a latinamerican man, therapy was not exactly something he wanted to put his child through. 

river acted out a lot, specially during his teens: stealing things from stores, taking his dad’s car and driving recklessly, and at the age of fifteen he was arrested for drinking and driving and being underage. he was never caught with drugs, but he had some of that in his story.

there were too many punishments at home, until eventually his father kind of gave up. he was about eighteen when he finally kind of calmed down– at least with the slightly criminal behavior. or at least he stopped getting caught. their immigration papers were in good state (now the both of them residents) but the fear of being deported became real then, so he became a little more discreet.

river was twenty when his father died of a sudden aneurism nobody knew he had. they didn’t have the best relationship at that point, so to this day, it is something very hard for river to deal with- he had so many things to say that he couldn’t say, but with how he grew apart from religion as well (he was raised catholic), he doesn’t think it’s worth his time to pray for him. 

he has a complicated relationship with religion as well, if you can’t tell.

getting jobs with a police record was not easy. he ended up doing all sorts of jobs needed around, but none of them were enough to help him pay rent and bills, so he ended up homeless and moving around A LOT. that’s how he ended up in centralia, where he’s been living for a few years now. 

eventually, river fell into the world of drug dealing, which is what has worked best for him. but he needs a cover, and the easiest way to do it is as a bartender at the strip club. 

he couch surfs a lot. he has a lot of friends, and he doesn’t even ask before he’s showing up in people’s places to crash in their couch or wherever they let him sleep. he still doesn’t have a place of his own. he simply pays what he can to the people who let him stay.

P E R S O N A L I T Y

he’s very flirty, very charming, very good salesman, and most of the time, he’s selling himself.

he knows how to do pretty much anything. fix pipes? his dad taught him, fix a car? sure. sew the hem of a pair of pants? yes, sir. he can do that too.

he drinks a lot. smokes a lot. he’s pretty much never sober when he’s working, but he manages to do it functionally.

he always takes five to go for smokes, then comes back half an hour later with his fly open.

will charm his way into anything. he has very sweet, deep eyes, so it works with authority as well.

he takes care of his friends. will never sell them anything too bad, too strong, and if they already dabble in them, he will not let them take too much. he cares too much for people, he doesn’t even think of himself. just for hair and skin care. he likes his curls too much and his face is his selling point. 

will speak in spanish because people think it’s hot.

tw: shooting, fire, drugs and death mentions

☢        he doesn’t even know where he was born. his family lived in a camper. all six of his siblings, some of them not even by blood lived in a tiny ass camper. his entire extended family also had campers and vans and just followed the other wherever. 

☢        ivan was too young to tell what his family did for a living, but he came to understand it the very hard way as he became more aware and closer to his teens. the women? prostitutes. the men? their pimps, but some of them also dabbled on drug and weapon dealing. 

☢        they had a fuck ton of money, but they never cared to save anything in the bank. they didn’t trust anybody with their money, and most of it, ofc, was in cash. they just had it in different jars, boxes and suitcases inside the campers as they traveled. 

☢        they went unnoticed. they didn’t even do shopping, their vans were pretty run down. it was not the great life, but it was what ivan knew and grew to love. he was never alone. he always had a sibling or a cousin to hang out. which... included joint and cigarette smoking from very much the age of 10.

☢        [ tw starts ] and then it all changed. it started with a lot of smoke coming from one of the campers, which made them all stop and get down to see what was going on. it was a trap. the second they were out of the campers, a shooting broke out. some even got inside the vans, burned them down- it was a massacre. 

☢        a twelve year old ivan hid under one of the campers, and somehow got spared. he was the only survivor of his family. they took the lives of men, women, and children, but not his. which came with a lot of survivor’s guilt, and... darker stuff. 

☢        time passed. he somehow avoided the system, and grew up on his own, moving from town to town, trying to get people’s pity and sympathy. he was seventeen when he got a woman pregnant. she was older than him. he thought they would get married, but he fucked up. 

☢        he promised he would stay clean and sober after the baby was born, but one night when he was supposed to take care of their son, he was passed out while the baby played on the dinner table. which was covered in powder (not baby powder). she even got a restriction order on him. he cannot physically come close to his son. all he has is an old photo of him at age one. 

☢        nobody knows how he made it to centralia, but it’s been a long time ever since. eventually, at about twenty five, and after almost overdosing, ivan got his wakeup call and got sober. to this day he still attends meetings. he hasn’t touched a bottle or anything other than good old cigarettes he often rolls himself. [ tw end ]

☢        the only job that would take him was the cemetery. he took it with a bit of a concern and a little bit of fear, unsure of what to expect but with the horrors of life he has endured, ivan became almost enamored of the peace in the job. he talks to the shadows, sings to the recent graves and changes the flowers of the old ones, as well as keeping everything clean and tidy. 

☢        nobody has a clue about how in the world ivan is still alive, not even himself, but at some point he admitted that maybe it’s god’s calling to keep him in this earth. and somehow, he’s the happiest he’s ever been. 

M I S C E L A N E O U S

☢        he has an old dog who has been him for about ten years and a cat that comes and goes whenever he wants. he simply named them cat and dog. 

☢        he plays guitar and has an old old old one somebody gave to him as a gift. 

☢        he loves plants. doesn’t know shit about them, some of them will die in his hands because he overwatered them, or didn’t give them the appropriate care for the kind of plant, but he makes sure to give them proper burial? i dunno. he’s crazy. 

☢        he thinks ghosts are his friends. names the shadows in the corner of his eye.

☢        he LOVES kids? and loves story telling? a lot of kids come to find him when it’s halloween time so he can tell them stories of things he has seen and lived in the cemetery. most of them are made up, but he likes to put on a show. 

☢        he really wants to be loved? he’s very fucking lonely so he makes conversation out of anything. he just likes to be in company of people, but he’s used to himself by now. 

A B O U T 

✿        she’s the daughter of some government dude- directly working at the pentagon and all that very important stuff. 

✿        she was always more on the quiet side, although she’s not exactly anti-social. she was just usually the observer type, rather than a participant in life. 

✿        his father’s life was always full of secrets, but some she managed to crack just by eavesdropping on conversations and sneaking into his office, looking at his files, etc. she was always too smart, which was something her father took pride of. she grew up believing she would be an agent of the cia or something. 

✿        during her life, she heard about a lot of things she shouldn’t have heard of, but never really spoke a word, knowing his father treated these matters as confidential. it was not until she was a bit older, that she started learning the difference between right and wrong, that she realized some of the things his father was involved were fucked up. 

✿        there was always a battle inside her between loving or fearing her father, but one night it all became a little bit clearer. he arrived home with a box full of papers, settled by the fire and she vividly remembers the man sweating and cursing as he ripped paper after paper and threw it at the fire while she spied him from the stairs instead of being asleep. her mom walked back and forth in the living room, crying i told you so over and over again. juliet went back to her room when her father yelled back at her and pinned her against a wall. she got too scared, and to this day it’s a scene she can’t shake away.

✿        only a couple weeks later, another big thing happened that changed juliet’s life. as she arrived home from school, she was surprised by the presence of cop cars and an ambulance right outside, who wouldn’t let her go inside. it was then that they took her mother out of the house in a body bag. they didn’t have to tell her- she just knew. 

all she had left was her father. he had never been nothing but loving for her, but the more time that passed, the more she found out, and the more she started suspecting that he had something to do with his mother’s death, despite it being ruled out as a suicide. 

✿        she went off to college a couple years later, where the obvious choice was journalism. she had been made to do that, and with a new mission in life, to uncover and denounce all the wrong the government has done, she has been working her little ass off ever since. 

✿        she still has a relationship with her father- and quite a tight one, except it’s very one sided. juliet doesn’t want to lose the support, because she’s no way ready to be fully independent, but she dreams of the day she can be. 

✿        she’s currently working on the fires in centralia, because she doesn’t think it was something that happened. and after finding a file in her dad’s computer with the name of the town, she decided to come down to do some research.

✿        juliet is still very much a quiet type of girl. she likes to be around people, but she’s usually the one smiling in silence and laughing with her mouth covered. she’s very bashful around boys, and very easily manipulated. she’s always willing to see the best in people despite the wrongs she has experienced.

   ✻      she is a native to centralia and has never actually left town.   

   ✻      the youngest of 3 siblings, therefore she was treated like the baby and princess of the house. 

   ✻      she grew up in a farm, so she has a deep deep love for animals despite always looking like she’s about to strut down a runway. 

   ✻      she is very conceited and is used to things working her way all the time. she has pretty privilege and she knows it and 100% knows how to use it. 

   ✻      despite being very cunning and smart, she is very gullible and trusts people will want the best for her as well, so she ends up trusting too much, and it has led her to bad experiences with friends, and all kinds of relationships. 

   ✻      she doesn’t think her personality is enough to be liked by people. she tends to think it’s all about her looks and uhm- sex, so she has a tendency to sleep with people too soon, and people have taken advantage of that before. she doesn’t talk about how that has messed her up because to the world, she wants to seem like she has everything a girl could want. 

   ✻      she is daddy’s little girl. ever since she was little, the two of them made some sort of ritual around cooking breakfast and dinner, so naturally it is her favorite thing to do. 

   ✻      she got a job as a waitress at the diner her family farm sells products to under the false promise that she would get to help around in the kitchen. the owner, however, takes advantage of the good tips and has her pretty much full time as a waitress. she doesn’t hate it, but it’s not her dream. 

   ✻      her one wish is to move out to a bigger city and put up her own cafe where she can cook all her favorite childhood recipes.

content warning: familiar death, depression mention

♛     a native to centralia. her parents were both cops. his father is still working, but her mother died in action about five years ago.

♛     she was three when her parents won a full paid vacation to new york city, which included tickets to see a ballet. she was not included but they loved her too much they couldn’t leave her behind, therefore, hers were the only tickets they paid for. and it was worth it because she discovered her passion in life.

♛     she never stopped dancing after that, excelling at everything she attempted. her mother was just as dedicated to it, taking time off work to driver her to and from the nearest big city to classes and competitions. it was clear she would be a star.

♛     but then her mom died when she was seventeen. it was the hardest hit for izzy, because her father would never dedicate half as much time to be with her. so she was left feeling lonely and hopeless for her ballet career, but in one last push, izzy decided to travel to new york to try out for their company.

♛     it was a mess. she was too nervous, barely slept on the train there, lost her wallet within minutes of being in the city, and after getting late to the audition, and being forgiven for being from a small town (which felt quite discriminating to her in that moment), halfway through the audition she couldn’t land a jump properly which messed up her knee. izzy tried to finish her part but it was pointless. she knew the results before even getting them.

♛     that same night she ended up in the hospital, because her knee kept swelling up. her father had to come all the way from centralia, and long story short, it took them two months to get back home, since izzy had to get through rehab.

♛     she was depressed for the longest time. it felt like ages, but it was more like two years before izzy started to get back into life. she had shut down her old friends, she wasn’t sure what she had, but she started going out for walks, train her knee to last a little longer, and try to get it back to where it was, in hopes she could get back to her dream, which is what her mother would have wanted.

♛    she felt like her entire life was over when her dream of being a professional ballet dancer disappeared from her possibilities, but in hopes to still dance at every little second she could, she took on the role of a dance teacher at the local dance studio. she loves working with little kids- they bring something in her that nobody else does. they’re so genuine, which she feels it’s something people lose as they grow older. 

        M I S C E L A N E O U S

✯      if you don’t know her, you would not know she’s a ballerina. she’s too far from the type. she’s not feminine, and would put comfort over fashion any other day.

✯      ok when there’s a big event, there’s a little bit of a change. her mother used to get her get ready, got her clothes, did her hair– it’s kind of a habit she took after her mother passed. and she loves it. but she won’t admit it. and it won’t last long before she’s driving around with the dress undone and barefoot.

✯      done with your shit, her own shit and the world’s shit. doesn’t believe shit until she sees it. and that comes with people and promises. she’s very very skeptical. will throw punches, kicks and claws if need to. not scared of getting into fights. she has, in fact.

✯      she hates her life and is always looking for excuses to get out of work, or home, or anything.

✯      loves driving around town with the windows rolled down.

✯      she works out everyday. find her running around the park or boxing her own shadow to get some stress out. very straight edge.

✯      she limps a little bit every now and then, especially when she’s overworked herself- which happens pretty often, but she tries to keep it hidden pretty well. you will never hear her complain, though. just wince.

THE ONE BEST FRIEND. the one girl/nb friend she had back in school. they were inseparable, know everything about each other. izzy cut her off when her mom died, and they probably started getting close again in the past 2 years or so.

FIRST ANYTHING. a boy, because she was not open. this was her first boyfriend, first kiss and first time at around sixteen, barely seventeen. tres cute. also cut him off when her mom died, their break up was pretty nasty.

COWORKERS

GIRL CRUSH. who she gets very nervous around and she’s just a bunch of ghfjdjdshj. girl is pretty obvious.

BOY CRUSH. who she gets very violent at. she’ll punch his shoulder. never admit she likes him. but she does.
