#limb lines

I have been asked by many about my views on things such as fishing methods and all that stuff. I’m not posting this as a can of worms but what I support and what I don’t and I hope it satisfies peoples questions and I believe myself like a close friend you have to pick your battles.

  Trot Lines – Myself I don’t have any use for them but if you have them I believe you should stay with your lines…

Limb lines are a popular form of catching catfish for scores of anglers who prefer catfishing with setlines. When presented with many different options of setline catfishing like jug fishing, limb lines, trotlines and bank lines many anglers can get confused or overwhelmed with the choice and options available and many fail to even consider catfishing with limb lines.

Limb lines are probably one of the most simplistic forms of setline fishing as it requires very little equipment or tackle to get started and the limb line can be quickly assembled when you get on the lake, river or creek where you plan to do your catfishing.

Unlike jug fishing or other forms of setlines though limb line fishing does require some specific items to be in existence near the water in the area where you will be catfishing, which is something to actually hang them from.

The best option is a good green tree branch overhanging the water in the area where you plan to target the catfish.
