Starter for little-blue-gem
Pearl sighed, her knees tucked in front of her as she sat, watching the cobalt gem delicately laid on a pillow before her. It had been a couple of days since Lapis had been poofed, both her and Jasper badly hurt in the battle that ensued upon the Crystal Gems locating Malachite. Pearl had already prepared in her mind what she’d wanted to say to Lapis, but they weren’t expecting the fusion to take on a mind of its own; its components had been fused so long, held together only by grudge and hatred, that the product was more fury than thought.
And so Pearl waited, intent on apologizing to Lapis Lazuli for leaving her trapped in a mirror for thousands of years, unaware the gem powering the artifact was even alive, let alone conscious.
