reminiscing on fandom roleplay community drama back in my teens where people i knew were always have their accounts reported and deleted by others

i recall my friend having to remake her character facebook account lol three or four times but for some fucking reason i always went untouched lollll

i was pretty active in the community as well as idk what i did to make the account reporter(s) go "oh nahhh leave lil alone she's chill" but i guess they must've liked me

made me look very fucking sus though lol

#lil thinks #there was some really petty teen drama in that community though #but my cringe ass only cared about roleplaying so i stayed out of it #i honestly have my suspicions who was doing the reporting lol #we were good friends so it'd make sense he'd skip me in his reporting lol

a memory that i always come back to whenever i feel annoying or uncool is this time at a house party when i was quite drunk and sitting on a milk crate talking extremely passionately about the evil dead franchise which was my favourite thing at the time

then i had this moment of clarity between my drunkenness where i sort of looked around and realised there were like ten people just standing there listening to my fucking evil dead drunk history presentation

and i thought to myself...... wait.......... is this interesting...?? am i actually INTERESTING??? and not annoying right now??? absolutely explaining the evil dead timeline to these guys at a party

....... in retrospect those guys were probably stoned out of their minds lol but they were so fully focused on me it was a nice anyway

#lil thinks #it was the first time i wsa like ohhhhh wait........ have i just been trying to share my interests with the wrong people???#like in that case my correct target audience was some random stoners at a house party #but i'm pretty sure i started playing dnd not long after and found people who appreciated my art and characters and things :3

the weird impostor syndrome of feeling i somehow tricked or manipulated them whenever i befriend people or get accepted into a new friendship group 🥲
