Alright so here's what i recommend for first time listeners
The first song you should listen to is "21st Century Schizoid Man". It's the first track on their most popular album "In The Court Of The Crimson King" and I like to describe it as "jazz-metal" since it's a pretty heavy sounding track. It's also their most popular song.
Afterwards, I would recommend the song "In The Court of The Crimson King", "Epitaph", "I Talk To The Wind", and "Moonchild". These are all on the same album, so you can either listen to them in the order of the album, or you can listen to them in the order I listed.
If you end up liking those songs, then I recommend the songs "In Wake of Poseidon" which has the same vocalist as the first album, and then the track "Starless" which is on the album "Red"
