This is the same with my sister… She is so dependant on my mum and she just puts up with it. Like she can’t even get the bus to school on her own so my mum takes her and shit like that… I sympathise with you muchly here

My sister has a theory that my siblings act like this because my mom didn't raise them for the first five years of my sister's life (and the first 7 of my brother's). The first couple years, she sat in the family room on her computer, not noticing anything around her. We even had to yell to get her attention. (and usually the only time she really turned away from her games was to yell at my siblings) Then her desk got moved into her room. And then she locked herself in her room and played her stupid computer games all day. She only came out (occasionally) to eat.

Even having all four of us taken away by cps didn't keep her from eventually drifting back to her games.

So now that she's finally paying attention to her kids, they don't think they have to listen to her, to behave. And my mom doesn't do much about it. And then she usually blames us when the kids don't listen when she's not home. (And also she says "They're just kids." or "Just ignore them. Tune them out, that's what I do" and then turns around and screams at them for the littlest things ugh)
