Okay, for those of you who have been waiting... Mom's surgery went well. The surgeon took more tissue than she anticipated. She removed the initial mass and found some tissue behind it that she wasn't comfortable with so she removed that too. She took samples from three of her lymph nodes. Won't know pathology results for 2-3 days, possibly not until the end of the week because of more tissue than planned. She is at home, resting as comfortably as she can. She is sore, groggy, tired, etc. I'm meltdown levels of tired. I'm about to cry because I'm so tired. I really want taco pasta for dinner but with mom out of commission that means I have to cook it. I don't think it is THAT hard but I also dunno that I have it in me to do it. I really should take a shower tonight too but that can be skipped if necessary. Still have people to text / message but all of the phone calls are out of the way except one. Those people are gonna have to wait a bit. Mom's secretary is tired.
