The Kermit I most identify with rn
I hate that it’s already dark by the time I come home, we can’t really do anything outside cos you know. wolves. and other totally friendly animals.
Need to get a girlfriend asap and cuddle her all winter
So I’m still trying to figure out a name for the school in my fairy godparent world and so far on the short list I have phantasmagoria and gossamer as possible names

I see a lot of post about you guys wanting to run through the forest at night and like... have you ever been in the woods at night? That shit dark and there's an abundance of dangerous wildlife
I think the reason fur-farming skeeves people out, even when it's humane and when they don't object to meat farming, is that we don't live in a post-meat society. We are no where NEAR being able to get by, as a population, without meat. The same can't really be said of fur. We HAVE faux fur. We HAVE super-warm clothing made of plant or synthetic fibers, no animals necessary. Leather comes from cows being eaten anyways. No one eats mink. So it can feel like a WASTE, killing them just for fur.
I think that’s part of it yea. Like I’m really glad that they give their animals a good life, that’s a step better than 99% of animal harvesting practices! And while it makes me feel a little better about it, it still doesn’t sit right and seems extremely wasteful. I was raised in a hunting and farming rural household, and something that my dad really instilled in me from a young age was that you have to respect the animal as a whole. You kill only what you need (we used to pack meat away for winter to save money!), and nothing more, and use every part that you can make use of. Like we even used to use deer bladders to squirt on trees to attract more deer to areas! It was wild. And while I may not practice hunting anymore as a personal choice, that code of eliminating wastefulness still resonates in me. So harvesting an animal for one part of itself just seems like an extreme waste of life, and just makes me feel icky.
Fun fact: sometimes i cry when i think about bears
