The University of the Bundeswehr Munich is looking for a Research Associate (m/f/d) to join the Institute of Lightweight Engineering and contribute to the ADHYCO (Advanced Hybrid Composite Design and Manufacturing) research project.
Working in close collaboration with DLR and Airbus, you'll help develop the next generation of hybrid thermoplastic composite structures, combining Automated Fibre Placement (AFP) with Large-Format Additive Manufacturing (LFAM). The position offers the opportunity to work on experimental characterization, material modelling, FEM simulations, and multi-objective optimization while contributing to innovative aerospace technologies.
This role is ideal for candidates with a Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related engineering or natural sciences discipline who are passionate about composite materials, lightweight design, and scientific research.
