Damien pushed on the trunk of the car, leaning on it heavily until he heard the ‘click’ that told him it was secured. All of his and Lucien’s luggage for the next week was in there, and between them they had enough outfits, makeup, and hair care products to last them for months if the need should arise.
“Lucien!” Damien glanced toward the open front door, where his son had disappeared just moments before. “Everything is packed away! We’re leaving!” It was still early, and he knew Lucien wasn’t exactly thrilled to be up so he could be in the car for days on end, but Damien was anxious to get on the road.

They’d moved here at least a week ago, having moved into the building where they’d both be living and working... well, at least, Sojiro would be.
It wasn’t exactly what he was used to, and frankly, Sojiro didn’t care. it was best that they move as far from Futaba’s terrible family as soon as they could... And she’d seemed to have really come out of her shell upon disembarking from the plane. As shy as she had been hen they’d met first, she’d really opened up to him and even let him into her own little world.
As such, she was helping him with recruiting part timers for his business so that she didn’t have to help run the counter at the cafe... She was hanging up posters for employment all over the city, armed with a bike, a staple gun, and a stack of fliers...
