Like as someone who works in coaching a sport, as soon as I saw that other post about how being his liney is a super demanding position simply because of how much he tries to get those around him to focus on micro-analyzing plays, reviewing tape on the bench, giving and receiving constant growth-focused feedback, I was like “oh, oh he definitely has a Coach Brain, he’s just perfectly wired for it huh”. Hearing that he’s also very effective at making guys feel like valued members of the team, while also paying attention to them as individuals, only cements to me that he’d be extremely well-suited for that kind of role, once his body eventually tells him he can’t keep doing that AND playing at the same time.

I too wouldn’t be surprised if he takes a few years “off” immediately after retirement to do something slightly less intense, though I don’t think he’s psychologically suited to actually doing nothing — I know he’s very passionate about his Hockey School summer program in Cole Harbour, and I could honestly see him spending a few years right after retirement just chilling in his lake house up here, and pouring full-time focus into that program to make it into something permanent with the funding and structure to outlast his own lifetime/involvement. Perhaps get to have a bit of a personal life and a family while he’s at it, too (which he deserves).

favorite ECHL teams? Another embarrassing moment - I don’t know any ECHL teams. Other than like, being aware of the Wheeling-Nailers because of the Pens. There aren’t any around here, and their games aren’t televised, so it’s hard for me to get into any of their content. I have a better grasp on the AHL despite them not being televised either, because at least up until last year, we had the Rampage here in town.

how did your love for hockey start? In a nutshell? I read a gay hockey romance and then I found out Marc Andre Fleury existed. It was all downhill from there, tbh

a player you recently became a fan of? Hmm... oh! Alex Lyon. Bless that kid, he’s living his best life. His videos from the bubble murdered me

favorite retired player? Probably Matt Cullen. He had my number, he always reminded me of Tom Cavanagh (an actor I love), and he just seems so wholesome and kind

mostly my first thought is augh #jane foster deserved better, which she did, but I love her, so much. I love her curiosity, her determination, her “fuck-everyone-who-doubts-me-I’m-going-to-keep-going” contrariness. She’s a woman chasing the stars. She’s driven and dedicated and loves what she does. 

I just feel like she has all this...passion, and drive, and that gets wrapped up in Thor in a lot of ways. I do think she genuinely cares about him, even loves him (I do ship Jane/Thor, so sue me), but there’s a lot of her that is reaching ever upward, curious, fascinated by everything she doesn’t know and could know. 

Jane is someone who had an idea and decided to chase it past the edges of the map, and she was right. I can only imagine how delighted she is by that alone. By having her wild theories that she was mocked for proved correct.

Much as her The Dark World characterization is maligned - and some of that is definitely earned - I actually really love other parts of it. Her fascination with Asgard and all the strangeness and magic of it, but also her bravery during the fight with Malekith. She’s human, she’s fragile, she’s fighting a world-ending threat in rubber boots and a flannel, and by god she’ll do it. She’ll throw herself on her unconscious god boyfriend like she can do anything to protect him if she does it. She’ll stand in the middle of things much, much bigger than herself or her original goals and refuse to move. 

A while back @portraitoftheoddity​ wrote a great headcanon about Jane being bipolar, also, which I have adopted as my headcanon. Also about Jane being an oblivious (bisexual) lesbian magnet.

Kraft m&c tastes like betrayal (and way too sweet for a savoury meal). It tastes nothing like it did in the 90's. If someone can tell me how to tweak the recipe so it tastes like it used to I would be happy

Do you know when you noticed the flavor profile shift? Kraft did an overhaul of the ingredients of their mac and cheese somewhere around 2013-2014, but at that time they mostly just replaced the artificial colors with less highly processed ones (turmeric instead of yellow 5, etc) and removed some of the preservatives. They also adjusted the grains balance in their pasta, I think. But if you noticed the flavor shift earlier, then it’s probable what you’re noticing (especially the sweetness) has to do with some kind of change in how the various dairy products in the cheese powder were processed or extracted.

You might try buying straight dehydrated cheese powder from a spice store or bulk supplier and using that with milk/butter or cream to make the sauce. I don’t think it will make it taste how it used to, but it will at least be less sweet, in theory.

"He seems to have appeared out of thin air in Los Angeles about a decade ago" "he refuses to tell anyone where he's from, does he understand that we're on his side and we need to know before the other side's oppo team figures it out" "he's clearly delusional but no one close to him seems concerned for his mental health; in fact, they're encouraging it!" "It really does seem to be his legal name, ma'am, we can't find -any name change records that fit anywhere in the UK or the US!" "His secret service agents keep requesting to be reassigned, but they won't specify why. One of them is insisting that 'he really IS the Devil.' I can imagine they had some kind of crisis meeting when Chloe decided to run for president, and had all these talks about what he should say when the press asked about it, and were wondering if he’d just shoot the whole thing in the foot before it got started (Chloe’s hot tub high school pictures are not really a big thing because those were dealt with at the very start of her political career) but now you have Lucifer who is basically a walking scandal machine and omg this was a terrible idea

but whenever anyone asks him about it, Lucifer is just like “yep, yes, that is me, had a wild and adventurous life among you humans” and it’s a really big deal during the Democratic primaries but he keeps turning up to all these press conferences and being suuuuper charming and answering everyone’s questions and a total slick git but also managing to convey that a) yes he’s kind of a dick but his wife is awesome, and b) totally 100% using the hypnosis glamour a few times to smooth things over until Chloe yells at him about it and he’s like what?? I’m helping??

anyway Chloe is the clear frontrunner and while the press has had fun for a while, they can’t get anything to actually STICK to Lucifer and it’s clear how much he adores her and sits gazing at her with heart eyes at her debates or her press conferences or her campaign events, and once you tell him what to do he’s really into it, and he’s always totally honest and people find that refreshing, there are Buzzfeed articles about “10 Times Chloe Decker and Her Hubby Made Us Swoon” and they have a whole internet following and slowly people are like, yeah um we’re gonna vote for her to save us from being orange nazified

and of course the whackos are like HE’S THE DEVIL HE’S GONNA TAKE US TO HELLLLLL and Lucifer is like I am doing no such thing, hell is vastly overrated, besides, look at the White House, look at me, look at the White House, then back at me
