After days, months, years behind bars, and freedom being a new but familiar taste, Geunseong was adapting back into society. He was watching people, studying their mannerisms, the sociopathic tendencies inside of him learning how to be with people, how to put on a facade so that he too could interact with people as he once did.
He’d watched the interaction between the male and his date, it’s nothing something he wanted for himself but apparently this stuff made people happy or so he’d heard. Stuff like that was what people wrote love songs and cliche romance novels about, but when his date left, he turned cold. Distant. As if it had all been a charade at his date’s whim.
“Ain’t this that type of thing people write poetry about?” He asks with a small snort. “Dates usually make people happy right?”
Not that he knew, even when he was on the outside of that 6 by 8 cell he never took girls out on dates, sure he took girls home but never would he take them out. He didn’t treat any girl as if they were anything special, discarding her feelings as if they were trash to him, and it would be the same now as it was all them years ago.
“Was the date that bad?” He snorts, taking the box and glancing inside at the gift before snapping it shut once again. “I suppose this could feed me for a little while though, so yeah why not. I mean it’s not my date’s gift after all right?”
